Thought I would start a thread on these two big games today. Can discuss numerous potential Rams draft picks, especially the main two QBs, Simpson & Mendoza.

Lots of guys from these going to be playing on Sundays soon. Half a dozen or more players on each team I'd love to have.

I'll be honest - and this is going to be a very unpopular opinion: I want Elijah Sarratt (WR, Indiana) much more than I do Fernando Mendoza. The more I watch of Sarratt and how he's done with various quarterbacks, his size, his technical route-running, his hands...he reminds me of another prime-Kupp out there, but on the outside and even more athletic. I think he'd be well worth our late first, if my number one wideout choice (Chris Brazzell II, Tennessee) is taken before that.

I wonder if these QBs and their agents, take into consideration that Sean McVay might be looking for his future QB, and he has a top ten pick?

Also, does word get out via scouts etc... to any of these QBs that they are Rams targets, potentially influencing their decision as to whether to come out, or stay in school?

BTW, a rough day today might make Simpson's decision to as to whether to stay in school or come out, a lot easier for him. They have a young offense and he could be the #1 pick next year vs maybe dropping this year, if he comes out after a less then stellar post season.

CB Dylan Everett, the kid who got the INT, he is a guy to get familiar with. I have seen him listed as a mid to late round pick. He has good size.

Simpson, not looking too good so far
Yeah, I don't see the need to make a significant trade up for him. Not trying to overreact to this game, but he is not the biggest guy and I think they have two years to find a QB. I am not sure I would put a ton of draft capital in him.

If he is there at 9, then sure, if he checks out mentally etc...

Mendoza at least has prototypical size. He might be the one guy (assuming Moore stays) worth spending multiple picks on.

Players will lose their eligibility if they have contact with professional teams.
So I say absolutely not.
Not to mention that these guys have to declare mid January so McVay and Snead surely will be focusing elsewhere at that time
