Some really good stuff in this interview. One notable part was when Sean says that Jared sent him a great txt after they won the SB. Good stuff.

I really can't stand Silver all that much, is more of a shit stirrer than reporter these days it seems. But this interview was pretty good.

Yes, and seems to have no animosity towards Stafford, telling Silver on an interview prior to the SB, that Stafford deserved to have the opportunity he has with the Rams.

Ya this was a pretty good interview. The Goff nuggets were good. And leans into what I said from the very beginning, and it's a Mcvay quote :"Where communication lacks negativity fills"

Fisher had his limits, but he was so so much better than Linny or Spags, he got us respectable
train
Kinda always what I said about him to folks who didn't like that hiring.

He was going to get us competitive again after we hadn't been for most of a decade. Gotta crawl b4 you walk and walk b4 you run.

Unfortunate that he could never turn the corner.

Silver stole the name of his pod cast from Orlando's local morning sports radio show... "Open Mike".

What a douche.

Silver is a big Goff fan and supported the Rams pretty adamantly. Almost too much at times but I appreciate the support so he’s a good egg in my book.

Well Les Snead was a bigger reason The Rams are where they are today than Fisher ever was. I’d say Spags is a better Coach than Fisher by Far. Shumer wasn’t the best OC. I yelled at him after a Niners road game at the Stick. He had to come down that elevator & across the field. I gave him so much CRAP!!
Fisher was a cancer & would have destroyed The Rams if ED29 & La Ram Fans didn’t call him out.
Could anyone imagine what 2017 would have looked like ? I mean no Whitworth,Woods or Kupp? Just imagine J. Joyner playing in the slot again as well. WTF !!!
Giving Fisher credit? I think Les Snead was one step out the door one way or another that relationship was going to be toxic.

—How Fisher gets credit? I could talk about a lying & politics but rather just say Demoff & Kronke knew the Big Lie. Fisher to say he had no idea is crazy & a LIE.

I’m glad Fisher was the HC & got The Rams to LA though. Those training camps at Oxnard were nice & then going to Irvine.
If Ram Fans want to get on the old HC’s IMO you have to look at Ownership. Fisher was coaching under one of The Best
sports Owners there is!!! Having Stan Kronke support means a lot.Sean Mcvay gives him all kinds of credit.

I could be 100% wrong, but IMO you have to compare the whole picture.
Billy Devaney & Shaw didn’t help the other coaches like Les Snead did for Fisher.

Still wonder about the Greg Robinson pick. Thanks Jeff Fisher & your Auburn connection. Yeah - Les Snead was part of that as well.Maybe putting that much money into a busted draft pick makes it easier to pick in the later rounds. I remember listening to Silver say The Rams had a trade (N..O.)but we’re going to keep the pick. Talk about showing your hand before the pick?

It was Snead with the Auburn connection. Robinson and Tre Mason seemed for all the world like Snead picks to me. I give ol' Les a little "less" credit than most on here. Can't argue with results since McVay got hired, but Snead's track record is not spotless.

Didn’t Fishers son Trent play there at the time.Yeah my guess is he spent more time watching Auburn games & his son than Les Snead.
I call your reporting a great myth.
Funny about the reporter as well.Silver was in The Rams draft room that season as well when Greg Robinson was picked. He was the one in control.
Les Snead was not able to work the phones.I’m sure the same was done with Jared Goff to a lesser extent. My guess is Fisher wanted one of the QB’s & asked Snead to make the trade because the evaluation for Goff was that much better than Carson Wentz. That could be total BS.
I’m still passed about the trade because The Rams gave up on a SuperBowl MVP QB who beat Belacheat & did it taking over for Carson Wentz.Mcvay’s first season Case Keenum also beat The Rams in 2017 & lost to Philly in the NFC Championship game.

Tre Mason was a nice little RB. Tough as nails & imo the Todd Gurley pick had a bad effect on him ? Then again in Oxnard during a training camp he was a little off & didn’t get on the bus right when they left the scrimmage against the Cowboys.
I was wondering what was going on & Tre Mason’s name came up.Jeff Fisher didn’t have control over the players like Mcvay does.He totally changed the culture. What happened to Bailey that season was tragic.

Going to add comparisons just to say Faceplant Snead deserves his criticism as well though.
The patterns of his drafting I’m sure got tweaked big time by Sean Mcvay, but some of the trends have stayed.
The Rams would pick in sections like OL or DB’s.Position if needs.Les likes using his Scouting & values those finds. He does a good job on his grouping.Just think he would double down in his early years instead of finding the best player.
The seasons I look back on is the Havenstien draft.Yes he found Big Rob & traded make to get him though. Then all that group with Javon Brown & those 2 others.Fresno & Kansas.
The season The Rams drafted Joyner & Mo Alexander.Fisher I’m sure wasted those picks? Tavon also for the trade ups. EJ Gaines though was the find.

Giving up picks for a small WR. Such as Tavon Austin. The trend continues with Tutu Atwell vs. Humphries?

The small RB Tre Mason & comparison is this Karen Williams pick.(add Mo A. St.Louis kid)The beauty is where he was drafted & the value of the pick.

The trend of drafting DB(CB’s) as a section.Durant (Troy Hill),Q.Lake,D.Kendrick,Russ Yeast.
Add love for SEC & players from(NFL,D 1-3) football families.

I enjoy watching players compete & see them in person & feel just a touch of who they really are.

I wanted one day at training camp day something to Tavon Austin. Had the perfect chance & it would have been bad or funny. I chose not to but I was in the perfect spot to say something about Banana’s. There was a hot Ram chick (across) from me.Just one of those moments I knew the Stars were aligned as a Rams Fan.
I loved Tavon as a Ram(person) he was(is) good people.Had a fun character & wanted to win & make people happy.
If you ask me about the trade up ? If I thought he was a good WR? I’d say bad move & not a good WR.
If you ask me about Tavon as a football player I’d say he was electric could score from anywhere as long as he had an open field. He was a Great PR turn guy ,but his stas will never tell the Tru story.
