Henderson & the way Snead runs the draft is pretty awesome. He traded up at just about the perfect time ? Still drafted Taylor Rapp instead because of his value at 61 figuring the could still jump in and get Henderson after trading back there 1st rd pick as well.

Snead's comments during the behind the scenes draft room segment showed that Henderson was his guy. I'm sure McVay acknowledged the fit and all, given the ZBS connection and YPC, but it's pretty cool how these two work together to find the fits and go get them.

I'm really starting to love the Henderson pick. I honestly would've taken Montgomery or Singletary, but I can definitely see why McSnead wanted Henderson.

He did his job well, but you can't deny that he's slow. Henderson has more home run potential...not trying to be negative. I also just finished my second pint so there's that.

If he only averages half the YPC he had his last two seasons in McVays offense, he will be great.

There's been plenty of these guys that have made a solid outing in the NFL.

"Mid-level Division 1" you say. Tell that to UCF... the team that Memphis challenged the last 2 years. People who pooh-pooh the AAC are usually the people who have never watched a single game played by teams in that conference.

There are 3 Divisions in college football. D-1, D-2, and D-3. Henderson played at the highest level.

Not just that - but the Rams have been elite under McVay - so there's a chance that (let's see if I can word this mouthy sentence correctly):

Henderson's new teammates are more better than their competition than his old teammates were better than their competition.

While he himself was incredible, it's not like he was playing with NFL caliber players on his team.

After Tavon Austin I get a little skeptical when people get overly excited about a rookie playmaker. But at least Henderson was drafted in the 3rd round where guys like Austin can be found. And where Kamara was drafted. How much Henderson is used will probably depend on how well he picks up a blitz.

This is where I have full confidence in McVay and the offensive staff to recognize Henderson’s strengths and play to them early. He doesn’t have to block right away if they can scheme him as a route option or decoy just to get a defender out of the box. They won’t ask him to do something he’s not capable of.

I would really like to hear the process with Snead, McVay, Wade and the others involved on who the Rams are considering drafting. Henderson would have been great to know exactly how they came about drafting him. I remember the area scout really liked him to start with. Snead was all on Henderson. McVay was ready too.
