They are taking it hard.

If I were a Falcons fan... it would take me a LONG time to get over this one.

lol every team has fans that " blame the refs'.

It's human nature to see things from one side and see a totally different picture that what is actually happening. I read them on our boards quite a bit as well.

I do think the 'Fire Fisher' messages were legit since we've had multiple 7-9 bullshit seasons. at least they made it to the SB.

Same here man. The Angels' loss to the Red Sux in the '86 ALCS is something I have never gotten over. This loss is going to go down in Falcons' lore, as someone posted there on the site, as "defining them" for some time. Hell I'm still angry about '01, not completely over it due to the way they cheated.

And the worst thing for Atlanta is they have a defensive head coach who is well regarded, but who has still not fielded a "good enough" defense, plus they'll be losing their hot OC. Which means they might be in for a freefall of sorts on the heels of this and not be back in the big dance for a while. If I am an Atlanta fan right now I am praying that York rubs Shanahan the wrong way and he ends up sticking around another season. If not, they might go the route of some other recent teams that got in and disappeared like Carolina.

At least they were in the Super Bowl. Still heartbreaking to lose the big game though.

The Boss. My new nickname for Edelman. Sorry Bruce.

God that's so ridiculously lucky it's sad but props to Edelman for sticking with it. But jesus, one Falcon leg and another Falcon arm both keep that ball from touching the ground in between Edelman's attempts to grab it. Just crazy, stupid how lucky the Patriots are.

Honestly I can't understand what they were doing with about 5 min left. Why pass every down when you are already in FG position. Run down the clock and make it a two score game. They called a good game the first half but that was really bad. They let that sack kill them when they they were running the ball so well all day.
Just horrible decision making at the end that will haunt them.

You know the Falcons were 1 for 8 on 3rd downs? They were up 28-3 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. The defense...the D...played 93 plays...and the Pats offense had the ball for over 40 minutes. At some point...even in a game that seemed to come down to the defense collapsing, the OFFENSE needs to make a play...A first down. Too many plays down the stretch, New England made. Not the Atlanta offense. Which really only had 2 drives all game.

I could.

They passed their way down there to begin with.

It was a 1 score game.

Get another TD and seal it, essentially.

But Devonta lost a yard on 1st, they couldn't execute on 2nd, penalty on 3rd down. IDK how you can blame the OC or the QB for all that.

I still think the reason they lost was the defense was so gassed.

Why was the defense so gassed? Maybe because the offense couldn't convert a third down and keep them off the field? No defense in the NFL would be any different being on the field against Brady for 97 plays.

My dad and I both were in amazement. It's pretty standard really. If you are in FG position you force the Pats to use their timeouts or you get the clock down to where they have little time to score. You don't think they win with an 11 point lead and say 3 minutes to go?

Come on bro, I see what you are trying to say but the logical thing to do was run the ball because they were doing a god job of it. Personally I think they lost the SB because they KEPT passing when they shouldn't of. But that's just one guys opinion of course.

you can NEVER take a sack in that situation. run the ball 3 times up the middle kick the FG and you are up 11 game over.
