I believe Reynolds got his hand in to knock the ball away, but yes if Scandrick makes the interception the game is over and again, I love the fact people talk about how Kansas City could have won, but ignore things like Shields falling down on Hill's 75 yard TD Catch and then the Chiefs forced a fumble and score on the next series....Anyway glad Scandrick dropped the ball.

Yeah Reynolds came in and slapped at it - but at that point Scandrick had already lost it.

But yeah one play can change so much.

So true, but Goff shook it off and delivered a dime to Everett and regardless of what everyone thinks, the Rams won and that is fact.

Key to the game was turnovers - we forced 5 they forced 1

Was something else that was reinforced in my mind as i watched it again.

That was the best pass of the game.

All Everett had to do was put his hands out, Goff dropped it right in there. I thought of how Warner used to do that back when he was throwing to Holt and Bruce on that pattern. He just dropped the biscuit in the basket like Warner used to do.

I think Scandrick still had a chance to catch the ball before Reynolds help knock it away. He grabbed it a second time then Reynolds got is hand in there. Good play by Reynolds.

I'm so glad we finally have WR's who will defend the ball from INT's. So glad we don't have lazy WR's (and TE's) who don't even try to make a swat or shield the ball with their bodies or anything smart.
Reynolds is really impressing me. He really could be a #1 WR on another team. Good route running, good hands.
Scandrick dropped it, end of story. We had some INT drops in the Saints game too. coulda woulda shoulda. we won a tight game.
Go Rams

...a 100% pure silver Lady Liberty head mint condition dime.

I think with Everett's great tiptoeing effort, people lost sight of the really great throw. Actually it was a "winning in the final minutes/no time outs left/come from behind/clutch throw to win the game" play that (for some fucking reason unbeknownst to me), helps define "elite' QBs.

I disagree.
He lost it, because Reynolds slapped it.

You have it on DVR like me?

I'll try to find a link to it.

He flat out drops it... then pretty much drops it a 2nd time - Reynolds makes a weak swat at it after Scandrick had about half a finger on it - but it was already over.

Reynolds did the right thing at any rate but I've watched about 5 times now.

Before that he hit Cooks on the 3rd&9 out route that got the first down, that was an amazing read and throw with the game on the line. This kid took some shots Monday and still came through when it mattered most. I really wish Kupp held on to that potential TD pass against SEA when Goff was driving for the comeback last year, but I'll take the comeback win on Monday night, it was incredible.

I agree with Rambitious1. Reynolds knocked it out, otherwise Scandrick had the INT.

That's really not even close to what happened.

Scandrick actually dropped it twice... Reynolds got a little piece of it after it was falling out of his hands?

You have it on DVR?

I forgot about that play - yes that should have been Goff's 4th quarter comeback.

Scandrick was also at his high point in the air just to get to the ball and coming down without the ball while slipping out of his fingertips.

that would have been a tough interception

Would he have caught it after the bobble while he’s hitting the ground? Maybe.

But Reynolds knocked it out.

It sure seems likely that if he plucked that interception the Chiefs could've closed the door and won the game.

There is a reason these guys play defense. 75% or more of defensive players don't have soft hands.

I remember when the 49ers beat the Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII when Montana stroked one to John Taylor for the game winner.

Tons of people forget that there was a dropped/easy/gifted interception in the hands of Bengals defensive back on that drive that would've ended the game.

Dropped interceptions that would've, could've ended games in the NFL has been happening for a long time.

The best team won this past Monday night and I agree that a lot had to do with the gift that Jared gave Scandrick and he simply wasn't good enough to seize the moment...

This game was a classic and no one play was the reason why the better team won.

RAMS 54 CHIEFS 51...... Missed opportunities happen in the NFL and are a big part of the game.

I’m with those that believe Scandrick catches it, but for Reynolds’ heroics.

I saw the slowed down replay, and after initial bobble, he was pulling the ball in to his chest on the way down. Reynolds got a good hand on it to knock it away. Whew.

Interesting case study in the accuracy of memory! This is why accident reports fail so much.

One thing we can say for sure is that we still scored a touchdown that drive....
