Sam Bradford is ready to go.
According to Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, the centerpiece of his offseason plan has been cleared for 11-on-11 drills.

"We don't have any restrictions on him," he told reporters Sunday morning, adding the quarterback is on track to start the team's first preseason game.

Bradford got off to a good start Sunday as he took every first-team rep under center, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, while backup quarterback Mark Sanchez took all second-team reps.


Outside of acquiring Marcus Mariota this offseason, a healthy Bradford has to be the best possible news for Kelly and his offense.

Amid a radical roster turnover, he envisioned a top-five caliber passer under center and, despite two brutal ACL tears in two seasons, Bradford has been viewed as a once-in-a-decade prospect by scouts and executives across the league.

Kelly has likened his acquisition to the Saints snagging an injured Drew Brees back in 2006.
NFL Media's Albert Breer also noted that Bradford is practicing without the balky knee brace he usually dons to protect his knee.

Pretty much this, I hope Sam is just the right amount of shit whereby he still plays 51% of the snaps, but leads them to an 0-16 record.

I always wondered how Bradford woulda fared in a better situation. I will always wonder how he coulda done with this receiver group. But alas, some things weren't meant to be. I don't wish him ill will. I hope he does well. But I honestly don't think he'll ever play a full season. If he only misses 4 games, he should consider himself lucky. Thats about the best Eagle fans should expect. The Rams made the right decision. Even if Foles doesn't work out. Bradford is damaged goods and will always be.

Who is Sam throwing to up there? Won't that be a factor? Didn't the Eagles purge their group of receivers? Don't know; just asking for insights.

I personally don't want him to do well, mainly because he was never 'lights out' for us -- despite all the hype. I don't wish him injury, of course, but it would be nice (in my evil little world) if he did no better than he did while he was with us. I would be okay if he led them to a 7-9 season. . .
