It sucks he F'd up his knee, he could have played a lot longer if that hadn't happened and became a recurring thing. He had an absolute cannon for an arm. We just had a really bad team around him, and a revolving door of offensive coordinators every year.

If I recall correctly he already injured his knee then some shithead from Carolina hit him Out of Bounds and fucked if up worse. I had a lot of hope for the Rams tied up in Bradford.

I remember Mizzou facing Bradford twice as a freshman. It was our best year in fate knows how long, but we lost both times, including once in the Big Twelve Championship, which unfairly cost us a spot in the five major Bowl games. It was our only two losses on the year (and I remember us facing Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl when they had Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis, and Tony Temple - Tony fucking Temple - was the best running back on the field and won the MVP). He made throws that I couldn't fucking believe any quarterback could make, and I remember saying to my dad (who was still a Rams fan at the time), "If we still suck, I want him as our quarterback."

I got my wish...but I guess it was unknowingly to a sadistic djinn; Bradford got injured and was never the same.

I think that was the first time he injured it. The next time was in the PRESEASON in Cleveland next year. We traded him before the following season. He eventually had to retire because of the knee.

.

After mcdouche almost ruined him for life and after using 2012 as a reset year, he was just starting to hit his stride in 2013 when that Fuckwit pushed him out of bounds when he had already given himself up.

What could have been.

I’ve still got my Bradford replica shirt.

I’ll post a pic when I get home from the pub.

I was hyped up for the rookie as anyone. But I don't look back and revisit these times. Once was enough.

I think it was the shoulder he injured in college that most of us were worried about but I could be wrong.

Call me a homer but I really liked Sam Bradford. If when he landed on the Rams he was not surrounded by a dumpster fire to destroy any young QB's development and indeed often foster decline and a quick flame out from the league due to seeing ghosts, developing happy feet, making it hard to keep confident, etc. I think he would have became a top level QB in this league. A different type of thrower than Stafford. You don't get the same "wow" factor. And obviously Bradford wasn't dynamic with his legs. But he did almost everything very well. I think he would have became a very legit starting QB. Probably around the Matt Ryan tier. At his peak very well regarded, but not really elite, except perhaps statistically, and that would only happen on agood offense. Good enough to win a Super Bowl with but the stars would need to align somewhat (which, to some extent, is always the case unless your name is Brady or Mahomes). We would always debate "is Bradford a top 10 QB". Any non Rams fan always laughed. On better teams I think that answer is a yes league wide.
