Chicago Cub legend, Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg has passed away. His accolades included 1982 National League Rookie of the year, multi-year gold glove winner and 1984 National League MVP.

Sadly Sandberg lost his battle with prostate cancer.

I was a Dodger fan in those days, but I always admired the way he played for the Cubbies.
