This is just speculation but I found this on Rotoworld and I know a lot of people on here including myself that were excited about the thought of getting Cutler somehow. We know shannahan likes Cutler too would be great if we could get a package deal somehow and hell he might as well bring Marshall with him:cool:. If Daddy Shannahan, Cutler, and Marshall didnt put some excitement back into rams nation I dont know what would.

Brandon Marshall - WR - Bears
ESPN Chicago admits it's uncertain whether Brandon Marshall will be back with the Bears in 2015.

The Bears just signed Marshall to a new four-year, $39 million deal last May, but the regime that handed him that extension is now gone. Marshall is still a fine player and worth the money, but there's been some question whether he'll be able to coexist in Chicago with the new staff. OC Adam Gase was the Broncos' WRs coach when Marshall wanted out of Denver. The Bears may also jettison Marshall's quarterback and good friend, Jay Cutler. Marshall carries a $9.575M cap number. Ultimately, it'd be a surprise if Marshall isn't a Bear.

I'll take them both, keep Britt too. We'd have 4 towers (Quick, Britt, Cook, Marshall), and a QB who actually has the ability to get them the ball.

Won't happen though.

Your probably right but man oh man if we pulled that off we could just draft Oline in the first 3 rounds and this team would be a serious superbowl contender.

There is just something about Cutler's attitude I don't like or trust! It's Like " I really don't feel like playing right now, F--k it!"

He does come off as a douchebag but he would be our douchebag and we would all love him when we registered our first playoff birth in over a decade.

I'll take Marshall but not Cutler... dude just doesn't give a f*ck. Hell I'd take Foles or Glennon over Cutler. Doesn't matter either way Cutler isn't coming here anyhow... our cap numbers are shit...

How many teams is this guy gonna wreck before people stop falling for this trap? He's got the ability, but it means nothing since his heart isn't into it

Do you have a better idea? Because Cutler is one of the more solid QBs in the league, but not many teams are willing to take on his salary. We would be. Foles will likely cost too much, and there's going to be a fairly large market for Glennon so there's no guarantee we'd get him.

There's obviously downsides to all the QBs available. The thing is, what else do you want? We have to field a QB. There's a reason these guys are available. You don't have many options at all. It's trade up for a QB, take a guy like Sanchez in FA, or get one of these guys. Honestly, unless the price isn't too severe for a trade up, Cutler is probably the best and most likely option.

Yeah, we could stay with Bradford as the main guy, sure. But what if he gets injured again? Going a whole season with Sanchez at QB is a bad idea. Or Hill or Davis. We need a real QB. With Cutler, we're contenders. The other options aren't likely or the best for our team.

The fact, we're not getting an Aaron Rodgers here no matter what we do. But a Jay Cutler is plenty for our team.

I'd honestly rather take a shot on Foles. He's not a bad QB and if he could find a groove it'd definitely be better than cutler. Hundley or anybody would be better IMO. Let's be real here, the Bears are definitively better than us, yet he still gave up and ruined them. I don't want to see what he'll do on a team where he'll be even less successful and have even less reason to ply himself. Like a QB version of Haynesworth.

The difference between Cutler and Foles in draft pick compensation will be large. Whereas I don't think there will be much difference in play...Cutler might even be a better QB.

However, the difference in salary between Cutler and Foles is also large...in the opposite direction. So the question is...would you rather give up less draft pick compensation but pay a higher salary or give up more draft pick compensation but pay a lesser salary?

If we give up High draft picks for foles that means were gonna have to spend some serious money in FA to fix the oline more than likely. Id rather give up a late round pick for cutler and pay more for him and fix the oline in the draft.

Yea, I think the Rams can eat a few million for a strong shot at a winning season.

And then they'll have to pay Foles a big contract extension if/when he plays well

I'd take the shot on Foles still. I get that we have other holes to fill, but if Foles can come to play, that sures up a hole almost completely. He's young, he's shown himself as a good QB. Our main problems on the Oline are C and RG, which should be easy enough to fill up if/when we do the cap clearing moves available to us, and the guys we already have available waiting to show their stuff. You also got to take into account Cutler's headcasery, his if is bigger than Foles. His if is almost as big as Bradford's. It's so bad that even teammates are calling him out on it, which is generally never a good sign. Tools aren't the only thing that goes into a good QB, Jay barely took the Bears anywhere fast, and they were definitely the better team over the stretch of time since he got there to where he is now. What will he do for us?

Play well enough for us to make the playoffs.

Foles wasn't a good QB in 2014 or 2012. So you're betting a lot on a guy on one year.

I'd rather take the safer and cheaper bet. That's just me, though.
