There's never been a more controversial Ram in the last 10 years,
Maybe ever.
The guy was controversial before we even picked him.o_O
Suh.
Foles.
Injuries.
Is he a quality quarterback?
Believers.

He's on a short chain today and could get yanked for the kid.

I've always thought athletically he was good enough.
I never really had a problem with the injuries because you can't really blame him for those and he toughed it out and came back from them.

To me I just never saw the fire in the belly like you see even with an Austin Davis or Case Keenum.

Anyway, he's going out very rich one way or the other.

He's clearly on the downside of his career, and a bad showing today will cement it. I was always a fan of Bradford's because he checks almost all of the boxes you want in a prototypical QB. Tall, big arm, accurate, super-intelligent, semi-mobile. The ONE thing he's missing is the one thing that separates the good from the great. You gotta have giant huevos. I mean you just gotta have that one *thing* that makes you turn your own game up to 11. He just either never had it, or was unable to develop it. As things got harder, he often got more conservative and safe. Sometimes you just gotta go all Case Keenum on shit in order to turn the momentum.

Just never saw him do it.

He could get MACKED today.

But I bet he gets rid of the ball in less than 1.5 seconds on every drop...

He scared.

Put me in the camp that Bradford was ruined by injuries, poor coordinators, lack of continuity and lack of supporting cast. Guy could have had a career closer to Carson Palmer if some of those things broke right.

Before he got injured in the preseason, I felt he and the Rams were going to have a big year. He and Quick looked to be on the same page. I was so looking forward to that year and my entire hope for finally a good year fell to the wayside when he went down.

Looking back... Was that Quick just showing us the glimpse of one good catch per game and disappear the rest of the game or was Quick going to be a decent receiver before he went down with a rotator cuff injury and lost his will to fight for balls.

I don't know. But it seemed like that preseason was the final turning point to Bradford's career. He was decent with the Vikings that first year but didn't really look like a top notch QB to me. And Quick wasn't even a so so receiver after that rotator cuff injury.

@-X- over the years we have gone back and forth about his accuracy..........he's really not accurate.

And @Soul Surfer that's why he wasn't a quality QB, he is athletic enough but the #1 job for an NFL QB is to accurately deliver the ball to receivers and he couldn't do it well enough. That will always hold a QB back.

He was decent with the Vikings that first year but didn't really look like a top notch QB to me

He checked down more in MN than he did in STL. It was literally record breaking in that he throw passes that were shorter than any other QB since that stat has been tracked if I recall.

Can't felt sorry for a guy that has made over 100 million .

For sure. And I still have two feelings about the Rams paying him.

1. He is a fucker for not restructuring his deal after missing as many games as he played, or close anyway.

2. I'm glad he did that because it facilitated his exit.

I was lukewarm after his rookie year, and he got worse over the next two years. It was a bad pick, but it happens.

I felt like a saw a bit of it in his rookie year - but it’s sure not there anymore. I think we see a guy who just doesn’t trust his own body anymore - confidence shot. He could probably light it up even today in the right situation - good running game, excellent O line. I think his chances of finding a situation like that are slim.

I find it funny that the contracts bother so many people.

It's was a product of the broken rookie scale. He got hurt, twice. Let him go, he gets paid on par with most starting QBs.

Although when you compare it to guys like Derek Carr, well it looks better.

Yup, he's the richest underachiever in NFL history.

IMO, Both he and Goff are similar in that they both can achieve with a clean pocket w/ an excellent LT. But I continue to believe neither are the type of play makers able to carry the team when necessary i.e., Rogers, Brees, Luck, Wilson, possibly Wentz, etc. Although to be fair, it's not yet clear just how high Goff's ceiling will become, but the eye test just isn't there at the moment.

He lost me as a fan when he looked for top dollar after two consecutive seasons of missing significant time. At that point who the dude was, well it was clear to me at least.

I wish him nothing but pain and further humiliation at the hand of defenses. If nothing else I get to enjoy fans of a random team thinking they might get something out of him every year. Only to witness them follow the path that many of us took early in his career, the "poor Sam" stage of denial.

If the Cards were smart the kid QB would be in there already. He will make rook mistakes but he'll also sling that ball down the field and stretch the defense. I am sure the next time we face them our defense will get to break him in.

He probably gets benched after this game. Next year he will be able to get a job as a backup, for backup money.

Bradford had no awareness. He couldn’t sense when it was time to make a move even if it was a 5’-3” curvy blonde blowing in his ear.

I have always felt like he had a vacant look in his eyes. Like something just didn’t connect. He never sounded like a confident and controlled guy in interviews. I never saw a leader, similar to Rodgers or Brees. There was always a bit of aloofness in him.

Isn't that just like Bradford?
When he's on the edge of the cliff to finally do something?

Sure he is. That's really not in question amongst every analyst out there.
It's his deep ball accuracy that you're talking about, and that's low for nearly every QB.
