Reports are it was medication to combat seizures.
His agent said it was actually from cross contamination from another pharmacy patient's meds, so it wasn't even Quinn's that caused it.

If so, that is pretty sad.

His agent has now deleted the seizure tweet and there’s a story on pft that Quinn’s pharmacy filled a prescription prior to his for an item that’s also a known masking agent.

I have so much more respect for dudes who don't make excuses for when they get caught roiding or taking drugs. Just take your licks and move on Jesus.

David Vobora says otherwise.

And yeah, banning him two games for necessary medication is a horseshit reason, and I hope Quinn wins his appeal, if there is one.

Seems like almost every time someone pops for anything they have a BS rationale for why and how it happened. Maybe this is one of the times it's legit, who knows. I certainly don't, but I do think that most of them are probably full of $#!T.

I agree with your rationale. I just don't think that Quinn is one of them, much like Vobora, who followed all of the rules and got a tainted supplement that caused a four game suspension for him (where he sued the supplier and won).

Seizure medication is absolutely necessary for people. Alan Faneca - when he played - had epilepsy, and Quinn probably uses similar medication for seizures regarding his brain tumor. I'm guessing that there was cross-contamination, and Quinn was flagged for a false positive.

I wonder how PFT knows what prescription was filled before his. Smells like BS.

Again, listening to an agent is like listening to a defense attorney tell you how innocent his client is. So I am supposed to believe that his prescription was filled after another one, and the cross contamination was enough that it showed up on a drug test? Unless they flat out gave him the wrong meds, I have a hard time believing that.

There are so many drugs on the banned list that it's hard to keep track. You can buy something at GNC that's on the list.

And I resent that ppl are presumed guilty until proven innocent. That's not fair at all.
