You're an icon you brought a lot of happiness to millions with your work. You will be missed.

Hope a mod can edit that auto corrected title.

Rest on pieces indeed.

It's a sad day for comic fans, expect a major tribute for him in Avengers 4

A legend like no other. Like Gene Rodenberry, he was a visionary who always wanted everyone to have a place in his comics. And for everyone to have a comic they could escape too.

RIP.

Sad day. I grew up on Spider-Man comics.

My desk at work .... Spidey, Gurley and Phil Hill’s 1961 Sharknose Ferrari.

Rest In Peace Stan , what a contribution.

I think his last cameo is in the next Spidey movie. Was hoping he'd make it to Avengers 4 since that's the ultimate tie in.

This sucks, world lost a genuine good man today.

I believe he filmed several cameos in advance

... just added another to the desk.

In honor of Stan what was your favorite Stan Lee created character?

It's always been about Spider-man , there is not even a close second

The first comic book that I can "remember" reading was Spider-man 101

Spider-man vs Morbius , I bet I read that comic over and over a thousand times when I was a kid

so I was pretty excited when I read Sony is making a Morbius movie

I remember that comic !!

Yes I was very much the same - my first comic was a Marvel team Up 123 with Spidey and Daredevil.

... and think of all the Spidey Villains he created -- Green Goblin, Kraven the Hunter, Dr Octopus, Rhino, Sandman, Electro, Mysterio ...

After Spidey I loved the Defenders characters --- Dr Strange, Silver Surfer & Hulk.

Amazing that his creations would be so relevant almost 60 years later.

I thought the Grand Moff Tarkin thing was a little weird, and the princess Leiah (sp?) cameo was super weak and poorly done, but I think it would be awesome if they did a CGI Stan Lee cameo in every Marvel movie. He deserves to be immortalized in those movies.

He made an awful lot of people wealthy with his Marvel Universe. Literally thousand of characters were created and they will continue to put out great movies for decades.

I think it's fair to say he is one of the most creative minds we've seen.
