I didn't realize until years later this happened at Kezar stadium! I played a high school game there years later in '83, and we won on a last minute 42 yard field goal! We played against Kevin Gogan that day, who went on to have a pretty good career with the Cowgirls.

I'll never forget Jim Marshall....a real Ram killer. We were playing the Vikes in the cold of Minnesota back in the George Allen years and we were losing 23 - 20. We had Roman at quarterback and we were driving with less than 2 minutes in the 4th quarter.

Given the conditions (and the Vikings front four of Carl Eller, Alan Page, Gary Larson and Mr. Marshall) throwing deep was pretty much out of the question. At any rate Gabriel was having success with little dump offs in the flat to Larry Smith....well until Marshall jumped one of 'em and picked it off. It was game over and once again the Bud Grant let ViQueens beat us in the playoffs.

Rest in Peace Jim Marshall you were a warrior and have the respect of this Rams fan.
Prayers to his family....

That was Alan Page that grabbed the pass.

That game had similarities to the Eagles game last year.
