RIP Betty White. The last Golden Girl. The cherry on top of a rough year. Lost an aunt, my wife's cousin, and my father-in-law. Fought and beat covid the month of December.
The older I get the more it drives home the fact that life is suffering. It doesn't end until we do and I'm okay with that.
What's truly important is the impact we make in the lives of those we come into contact with. What kind of legacy will I leave? In retrospect, if I'm being honest with myself I can do much better. So I strive to be a person I can admire and hope those I encounter in life are better off for having known me.
Okay... stepping off my soapbox.

Betty White is still one of my All time favorite people… the stories of her legendary bravery, kindness and prodigious comedy genius are ones I will remember fondly for the rest of my days.
As many of you know, I’ve been very open about how much I love The Golden Girls. My fam gets me Golden Girls merch for b-days and Xmas (I’m wearing the Rose Nyland socks I got for this Xmas as part of a 6 pack of GG socks) and I watch the show almost every night as I fall asleep.
Having grown up in LA, it’s not hard to find out who the good ones are in Hollywood and Betty White is on the Mt Rushmore of the good ones. She was the best.
I’m just grateful she can still send me to sleep with those amazing St Olaf stories.
