Braxton Miller, WR/RS, Ohio State
Let's start with his size: As a wide receiver and return specialist, Miller's measurables (6-foot-1, 204 pounds) are exactly what NFL scouts are looking for. He has good length and he's lean, which enables him to move effortlessly on the field. Miller wowed with his change-of-direction ability in both individual drills and one-on-ones, looking the part of a polished wide receiver (check out the videos below). That's impressive stuff for a guy who has been playing the position for less than a year. This was an important week for Miller, who wasn't used a ton as a receiver in his final season at Ohio State (just 26 receptions) and needed to prove to NFL scouts that he was more than just a gadget player at the next level. If his tape from this week is any indication, Miller has the looks of someone who could really star at the combine next month.

Depends on which round for me. Miller definitely has potential, but not much of a resume as a WR. He looks the part but will probably take time to develop. I would prefer at least one maybe two guys with more polish before picking a great athlete that just played WR for a year on a team that runs the ball as much as OSU

Braxton has serious talent but he's not the right pick for the Rams. We need guys that can come in and make an immediate impact. Braxton is a risky pick that will need time to develop.

In Round 2, we're going to have a shot at guys like Tyler Boyd, Sterling Shepard, and Leonte Carroo. All three are surer bets (if Carroo's character checks out) and more prepared to make an impact as a rookie.

Also worth mentioning, the Rams reportedly met with Braxton Miller this week.

2nd round seems awful high for a project. And he'd probably take away some of the off tackle runs and jet sweeps from Tavon...
On a side note, he'd probably be the best QB on the team based on the current roster......

If I'm the Rams I probably use a three on this kid. And let him toss the pig skin around. Liked him at QB for OSU. Second round seems a little early for me. But I'll take a shot in the third.

I really liked watching Shepard this season. I hate how small he is though. With Tavon already on the team do you think there would be a place for Shepard on the Rams? Don't they need more size.

He needs some work on routes, most WR's in college do. I can tell you this, he was, in my eyes, the best offensive, quick twitch, athlete on the field during the Senior Bowl practices. He has good hands, he competes, he's smart. As long as we sign a FA at the position too, I'd have no problem taking him in round 2, if he's the best available.

I think he will be a very successful WR in the NFL.

He was the best athlete/quick twitch talent in all of college football.

He also made some spectacular catches on inaccurate throws...I wouldn't be mad if the Rams drafted him, but I personally would not.

I loved Ryan Shazier - from the first time I saw him on the field you knew the kid was special. But he, like Braxton, seemed to get dinged in every single game. Every game.....and miss a few plays. I'll never forget when Braxton got carried off the field and taken straight to the hospital....only to play the following week - that could be a sign of toughness though I guess. At the time, I thought he was just a hypochondriac. When I thought about Ryan Shazier, scared the crap out of me - if a guy gets dinged left and right in college, how does that translate to the pros? 21 out of 32 games so far for Shazier in the regular season. LB is obviously much more of a contact position than WR, but I still fear Miller will spend too much time on the sidelines in the NFL.

I don't know Miller's injury history, other than his shoulder. He wasn't, however, in WR shape to play the reps that he did at the Senior Bowl. He did play every rep at 100% though. Remember, the team lost two WR's, which put a lot of extra reps on the WR's, on day 2.

Can you enlighten me of his injury history?

A lot of people disagree with me but I don't care about size. I want WRs that get open. Doesn't matter to me if you're 5'10" or 6'4".

I'd certainly take a smurf WR corp of Antonio Brown, Emmanuel Sanders, and Julian Edelman.

So if Shepard can get open consistently, I want him here. But I also really like Tyler Boyd who's a bigger WR at 6'1"/6'2".

Project plus don't forget the injury risk. I don't trust his shoulder is gonna hold up. Pass.

Love the player, but he's always hurt with his shoulder I believe. Just wait til he's getting drilled by NFL DBs and LBs and I don't like investing anything before a 4th on him. He has 2nd round talent no doubt, I just don't trust his body to hold up. I'm on that Tyler Boyd train! I like Jordan Payton out of UCLA, but in the 4th or 6th if he drops.

So far one target in the senior bowl for Miller. Drop. No defenders near him. Not the best start.

Miller having a very bad game. You can see he's very raw still. Had a drop on his first target and his third target caused a turnover on downs because Wentz threw the sideline route while Braxton never made his break. Allowed the CB to disrupt his route and then got caught dancing at the top of the route rather than making his break.

After seeing his performance today, I don't see any team taking him in the first three rounds. Even the fourth seems like a reach. Far too raw.

Let's not overreact in the other direction. Somebody will take him in the first 4 rounds. I think he'll go somewhere between pick #50 and pick #80.(assuming there are no medical issues) But he's not nearly as NFL ready as the Senior Bowl reports made it seem.

If we have the ability to develop him I would take him. Maybe not as high as the second though. Rough game today with a drop and some poor route running, but he's like Tavon lite. Just needs to learn the position more which depends on how much he wants to succeed.

His practice, was named practice player of the week, didn't translate to the game. He had a huge week of practice however. It was definitely scary to see the dropoff in play. The talent is there, but he is a bit of a project.
