Is it me, or does it look like the perfect storm in Baltimore (in a bad way for Ravens fans)?

Lewis retires.

Reed and Boldin are gone.

Ellerbe, Kruger, and McKinney are likely gone.

Flacco signs mega contract with mega pressure.

BOOM!

:shit:

Flacco doesn't deserve that mega contract. He's good, but not that damn good!

Another case of the perfect storm. He got hot. He played lights out.

Prior to that... eh? Just good.

I think Flacco is mentally weak. Had to "call himself elite". The big contract and loss of talent around him is the ingredient for an implosion!

currently visiting my sister in baltimore.. lol man, Flacco is going to tank next season. Can't wait to see it

I've openly said the Ravens were among my favorite AFC teams.

And...

I'm not rooting against Flacco.

But, I think he's set himself up for a huge pressure packed season. I'll be surprised if he's not roasted.

Stay tuned.

I'm against players being paid elite money who aren't elite...

Curious to see Bradford's contract when it comes time.

Flacco isn't better than Rodgers, P.Manning, or Brady - and shouldn't be paid like one.

Hate how the money for players is getting bigger and bigger

Well said, iced.

Maybe I'm a fool in the rain but as long as Ozzie Newsome remains GM and Harbaugh as HC I don't see the Ravens falling off that much.

I hate to say it but it's very similar to our Bulger situation. Mega contract and then he got the hell knocked out of him as the team personnel changed in a short period of time. Ravens are done.

.

the last time the ravens won the superbowl they let go of their winning qb. they had everything else still in place but tanked badly.

they're trying something different this time round.

.

lol ran into some ravens fans tonight that didn't like the rams, and were talking mad shit..

they were trying to say they think they're going to do better next year - i laughed at them for that lol.. they're losing ed reed, mckinnie (LT), boldin, lewis....and possibly ellerbe and maybe a few other crucial players of that defense.

god i wish i could come back here next year and be like "in yo face!"

It's going to be interesting to see. The team has definitely taken some hits this off season.

But, BatteringRambo has a point; as long as Newsome and Harbaugh are there they have good leadership to navigate this.

I still think 2013 will be a difficult year for them, however.

Teams always raid Super Bowl winners and tend to overpay SB FA's.

Flacco is inconsistent. The change in OC really helped him. But now half of the talent around him may be gone.

Dilfer was a place holder. The defense won the game.
