Ok, I will say the Niner loss at home against Mullins as their QB...I believe that was the loss that sealed Goff’s fate.

Im from OC, but live in Phoenix area since 2013.

Well, the one game I bought 11 tickets for many family members, to travel to LA to see a Rams game, was the Ravens slaughter.

My life sucked that night...and it did by halftime too!

As bad as we got our asses beat by the Ravens any loss to the Whiners of Shitmap City is far worse.

Is it worse to get your ass beat or to give a game away by making mistake after mistake after mistake yo lose yo a team you were dominating. That was the Miami game last year.

Why the need for a thread like this?

Let the past be the past.

Matthew Stafford is our new QB, and we have a better team now.

Lots of those games weren't really bad:

Saints - down by 3 in the 4th quarter

Patriots Super Bowl - tied at 3 in the 4th quarter

21 point loss to Niners - all backups

17 point loss to Vikings - down three CBs - and I believe we were down 14-7 to start the 4th

13 point loss to the Niners - Littleton dropped a pick 6, Henderson fumble after half, Everett wide open for a TD overthrow

Packers this year - down by 7 in the 4th despite AD being hurt

Bucs - down by 8 with the ball near midfield late in the 4th

Dolphins - 4 TDs on 40 offensive yards for their two TD drives. One of the flukiest games in NFL history - bad drop by Everett short circuits comeback

Seahawks 11 point loss - down 13-9 with the ball in the 4th quarter

The worst ones IMO were the Falcons playoff game, Cowboys 23 point loss and the Ravens game.

The rest - still McVays fault but I wouldn't say the team didn't show up in any of them - they were all closer than the score

Does no one remember the Jets game last season?

Or are we trying to forget that one?

I think McVay would cut or trade anyone who can't step up vs the 9ers. That rivalry is real. It's good for him too IMO. His biggest achilles heel is and has always been teams with bully lines.

But yeah that Ravens loss was terrible man. The watch-through later just to see who did what was like getting kicked in the nuts.

Glad you brought that one up. Some losses are against hot teams that just steam roll you (Baltimore) and some losses are against teams taken for granted (0-13 NY Jets). That last one is harder to take IMHO and might have had a lingering affect the following week against Seattle. Those two games ruined what was shaping up to be a very good season (9-4) with 3 games remaining.

I’d only add the one that hurt the most in a non defeatist state, the Buffalo game.
That was going to be a historical come from behind win. Stolen by a terrible call and way too conservative defense.

Sorry Gentlemen the loss in the Super Bowl against The Evil Empire was the worst because it was there for the taking. In that game is when I felt Goff might not be the man.

I disagree with the Falcons playoff game.

Three times (might be two can't remember for sure) we had sure TD passes dropped by receivers late in the fourth quarter in that game.

You really are a sadist, aren't you?
Well, to balance it out we could do a thread about "biggest ass-whuppin' wins since McVay became coach." If the bar is victories by 10 or more, well... we got a ton of those.

Just for one team (the Cards) we'd have plenty to choose from...!
:alol:

EDIT: Just checked, and McVay has 6 out of 8 wins over Cards at 10 points or more... most of 'em blowouts
