He was 20 for 21 in the UFL last year, I know the guy has a serious leg. Having said that, I highly doubt that McVay goes with Mevis this week giving that it's on the road and against our rival.

Dempsey was the kicker when I first got on board with the Rams. I could not stand him; he kept missing and getting it blocked. That TD by the Eagles reminded me of his blocked kick vs the Vikings.

Try enduring David Ray..... Probably the worst Rams kicker of all time.

Dude looks a little like Chris Farley. :laugh2:

How does he kick it so far without any leg lift?

I can't say for sure - but your answer may be in here, somewhere.... :woozy2:

The classical "momentum" versus "energy" confusion !
Momentum is mass times velocity P→=m⋅v→ and is a vector (points in the same direction as the velocity). Energy is a scalar and E=12m⋅|v|2

Also, Power = force * velocity, and force = mass * acceleration

Both physics equations can apply here

Well he does have a lot of mass.

If Mevis outkicks Karty in practice, he will be active on gameday. I liked Karty coming out of Stanford and I do believe that Blackburn is more responsible, but you cannot miss 39 yard field goals. Hopefully, the right kicker will play and I also believe having McQuaide should help and maybe McVay hires McQuaide in 2026 as the new Special Teams Coordinator.

It seems like it would be a simple fix but somehow they let it get to this point. Is Karty too slow on his windup? If so then get him to speed up. If not then try another kicker. Does the blocking suck? If so show the dude allowing penetration on the blocked kick how to do it right. If he fails again replace him. How about the snapper/holder? Doesn't look like they're messing up. Then what, and why does it take them 2 losses because of missed kicks and then several more missed kicks to finally bring in other players? Is it the coach? Why do our ST coaches all suck? So many questions. They had a bye to work on it. Fix the damn cracks already. I want to see 0 blocked kicks for the rest of the season. No missed XPs. No missed FGs under 40. Not too much to ask.
