I'm just not a fan of this signing, even as a Mizzou fan. I'm sorry, Mevis had one good sophomore year, and everyone thinks he's a savior all of a sudden? He averaged 84 percent on making his kicks - take out his sophomore year, and it gets worse.

I think I'd put more weight on his UFL record.

Honestly I have zero confidence in our FG unit. If we have to make a FG at the end of the niner game to win no matter the distance I'm thinking , miss wide?, miss short?, block?, bad snap?, kicker misses the ball entirely?, not feeling confident.

And how are most of those UFL players doing? Even Jake Bates, the supposed wunderkind UFL kicker from a year ago, is struggling in his second year with the Lions (unless you think a 69.2% on kicks is acceptable).

Harrison Mevis has not shown himself to be much of an upgrade over Karty at all.

Hoping that the extra pressure on Karty helps. Never know what competition will do for a young player who is struggling, but we're at the point where we have to try.

Karty was 85% in college and 79% nfl right now...just sayin

Let's hope it doesn't come to that:

  1. No field goal attempts over 40 yards.
  2. If it's 4th and 5 (or less) and we are inside the 9ers 35 yard line we go for it.
