I don't think any teams have thought of this yet, but basically stack a live feed crew for the first, second, and third days of the draft and broadcast it straight from their website using that state of the art studio they set up. This is the kind of thing I think would help them greatly as they push to become an elite franchise.

I'd split up the broadcast teams to ensure each day of the draft was divided up from a workload perspective. Basically have Dani, Myles, and Demarco chairing each team and pair them with current and former Rams in an informal type deal where they discuss the picks. They could then have "fly by" visits from Rams' brass like Kevin, Les, coaching staff members, etc.

Curious what you guys think of that. I think it would be pretty damn cool.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that'd be a big risk as far as letting other teams see what you're doing and not just fans

How so? Of course the talk would be limited to homogenized BS that the Rams' brass feeds to the press anyway.

The only real difference is the discussions would be driven by the Rams' media folks along with players and staff as prospects go off the board. I'd rather stream the Rams' feed and spend an evening with others who follow my team than the drivel I watch on mainstream channels or the NFL and ESPN sites.

I'd have old school guys brought in, the Hall of Fame types. Kind of like an electronic Rams' party that includes commentary on picks as they go off the board.

I'm sorry, I misread you. I thought you meant a live feed of the war room, my bad.

Yeah that would be dumb. But that new studio they got going on would look great on draft night with Rams greats coming in and shooting the breeze during the draft event and offering commentary. Tonight, for example, I'd have Torry Holt and Ike in there with Dani, given that they might get a wideout. Or maybe an old timer like Youngblood, doubt he's a draftnik but I'd still like to hear him BS about the Rams' picks and direction.

I honestly think we are heading that direction with having Everett and Farragamo in there last year with our picks. It would be nice to be the first franchise that has their own coverage and broadcast like that. IMO our franchise needs to do ground breaking things like this to start tipping the interest in their favor permantly. It certainly helps in market penetration.
