Before Kurt, the #13 was Kenny Washington, the man to break barriers. Here, we have legends like Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk, Steven Jackson, and Todd Gurley, along with a lot of young kids, speaking on the legacy of the running back on the Rams. I thought it was an amazing video, and after what Kenny went through...what have I got to bitch about? Only bad thing about this video is no Lawrence McCutcheon or Kyren Williams, but I can understand why they're busy and the others aren't.

I love shit like this!

I had the honor of watching all of these guys in the modern era and players like Dick Bass and Willie Ellison, Lawrence McCutcheon and Wendell Tyler* before them.

So much history at the running back position on the Rams long before I became a fan. Wish I could have seen them all, but have to rely on old footage to see men like Kenny Washington, Tank Younger, Deacon Dan Towler etc.

Suffice to say, as fans we've been able to enjoy an embarrassment of riches at this position unlike any other team in NFL history.

We have. Even players that weren't as talented at the running back position, that lasted only a short time (thinking Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson, and yes, even Tre Mason, whom I feel more sorry for than anything; he clearly had mental health issues and could've been a great backup to Gurley if it weren't for them) gave us some important moments, some very cool wins and plays.

Tre Mason was really good, though not in the class of Gurley, Faulk, Jackson, Dickerson. It is a shame he had mental health issues. I would have loved to see what he could do in a McVay offense. He only played 2 years before flaming out just before the Rams moved back to LA. He could have easily played a while under McVay with a normal career trajectory.

Definitely not in the class of those four, but I feel that without the mental health problems, he could've been just as good as Kyren. That speed was rare, and from a short and powerful frame that could push the pile and get touchdowns on the goal line.

As someone who also struggles with mental health, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, on anyone.
