Ram's roster best in years, by TackleDummy
Over the off season and during the draft the Rams have done a lot in building a Jeff Fisher roster. They got some pretty good free agents to fill some of the weakest points on the team. The Ram's draft plugged a few more holes. I wanted to see just how many holes the Rams actually still have. For that I developed an extended starting lineup using the following depth chart http://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/STL . I included two running backs because Brian Schottenheimer seems to like a two running system. I included three wide receivers as starters since I expect a lot of 3 WR sets and I included two TE's. On defense the D-lines depend on rotations so I included three each of D-ends and D-tackles. I also included four CB's since I think the Rams base offense will really be a 4-2 and may use six defensive backs on a number of occasions. To predict starters before training camp and preseason would be foolish and I will not do so. By the start of the regular season several of these players will be replaced by better players. But the following list of "starters" is an exercise to determine if the Rams have adequate players at each position.
