Thomas has some big shoes to fill with that #13.

Higbee, will hopefully, help me forget the 89 of recent years

What's with the wr going low numbers?

I hate the low numbers for receivers. It's almost that the number curses the player. Gotta go with the 80s as a receiver.

NFL change the numbers for WR's years ago where they could go with lower numbers, so that is why some of them are doing that, in fairness, Cooper donned 11 at South Carolina, however, Thomas wore 88 at Southern Miss, but Lance Kendricks currenty wears 88.

Rams have retired #80 & 85 and I believe 81 is not being distributed. There are only so many #'s in the 80's. I'd be cool if they let them go into the single digits. It's done at every other level except the NFL.

Wasn't Kenny Britt rocking 81 before he switched to 18? I don't think it's out of circulation.

I guess you are right. But still there are only 10 #'s in the 80's. TE's HAVE to wear 80's or 40's. Most will go with an 80's #. When you carry usually 6 WR's on your roster ... there isn't enough to go around. Especially when #'s get retired. the other #'s that WR's can wear are the 20's .... and I don't like those for WR's at all.

I just checked the Rams roster. Toon(81), Colter(82) and Long(87) are wasting some of the others. I can see Thomas changing into the 80s should he make the cut and the others don't.
