Rams roll out ticket pricing plan, with packages ranging from $360-$2,025

The Rams, who received 56,000 season-ticket deposits for their first year back in Los Angeles, are planning to offer eight tiers of tickets, with nine-game packages ranging from $360 to $2,025 for the fall of this year.

The club is scheduled to roll out the pricing plan in an email Thursday that will be sent to the people who made a $100 deposit in hopes of purchasing season tickets for 2016.

The Rams will play at the Coliseum for three seasons while their $2.6-billion stadium is being built in Inglewood. During the next three years, the team will play seven regular-season games at home, as opposed to eight, because the franchise has agreed to play three international games in consecutive years, beginning with a London game in October. Additionally, the packages include tickets for two exhibition games.
Jake Bye, Rams vice president, said the season-ticket pricing is significantly lower than what single-game pricing will be. Those prices will be released this summer.

“We wanted to make Rams football accessible to as many people as we could, so the pricing we’re going with is extremely reasonable when compared to what people might have expected,” Bye said.
Season-ticket packages in St. Louis ranged from $300 to $3,500 in 2015.

Ticket prices are expected to rise dramatically when the Inglewood stadium opens for the 2019 season, and those will include the cost of personal-seat licenses.

The Coliseum seating capacity for Rams games will be about 80,000. The seats at the peristyle end of the stadium will not be used because of the inferior proximity to the field and view.

The pricing tiers for the ticket packages, per seat, are $2,025 (for eight midfield sections behind the Rams’ bench), $1,575, $1,350, $1,080, $810, $675, $585, and $360.

I'm pretty sure that was part of the agreement to allow the move. Same thing with "Hard Knocks". Part of the price for moving to LA was that they would get multi-years worth of international play - and worst case scenario on it - before the new stadium was built.

Sucks, but at least once the new stadium is built the Rams should have years of 8 home games a year to catch up on.

How so? You're only buying a 9 game package, 7 regular season and 2 preseason games.

It's not awesome for home fans. It's an accommodation both to the NFL and USC which will be very helpful in this transition.

The last thing we need is to lose friends during the move...be that dick-friend who drops the couch on the stairs with you holding the ass end of the couch at the bottom of the stairs then at the end of the day won't spring for beer and pizza "because I gotta return the truck". Hell, I don't even drink and I buy for peeps who help me. Point is we need to make the accommodation and hold up our end during the move.

How is losing a home game to London not bad? I swear dude, you should be a criminal lawyer.
People are paying for only 7 home games, it would be criminal as it's called if you paid for 8 and got 7. I'm an almost 4 full decade Rams fan anything that brings in more Rams fans is great. Also a lot of season ticket holders take a week off and don't go to every home game. Also we had to do this to work with USC to reduce the wear on the field in the Coliseum. Sorry call me whatever you want I don't see this as a big deal. It's not like the game won't be on tv and we can't watch it.

The trade off was no home games and the team stays in St Louis. I'm sure lala fans are quite happy to get whatever they get right now.

for all its great history, the Coliseum is just not a great venue for football. way, way too many bad sightlines. I feel for anyone that ponies up the $360 for the lowest tier. I mean, those seats might as well not even be in the stadium, that's how far away they are.

For SC games, I sit in row 11 in sect. 11, which is right above the tunnel. Their field proximity notwithstanding, those seats aren't great. SC charges ~$500 for those tix. At $1,350, those seats leave something to be desired.

I've never been in it but almost everyone I have heard comment on it that actually has been in it says about the same thing, or at least that if you don't have premium seats it's all pretty much not a great way to see a game.

But the history is really something. Hosting an Olympics twice, home of the first Super Bowl, and the iconic statues at the main entrance. It seems to have been well maintained and has had some upgrades over the years unlike some stadiums that are allowed to rot away, like Municipal Stadium in my hometown of Cleveland.

Ouch!! Pretty pricey already. I have season tickets for the Chiefs & roughly equivalent price per ticket per game in the same area is: LA = $150 KC = $83.

Going to be interesting to see how ticket situation develops. First year will be good attendance due to newness, but what will happen for 2 years in coliseum if Rams are .500 or below? Then, get ready for big time sticker shock with PSL's and increased ticket prices in the new stadium. Stan K better get a winning product on the field quickly.

Actually thats not to bad if you think about it considering it's an LA ticket etc. and when you average the cost of ticket per game. Pricing tickets in recent years at AZ, Den, and Dal they are roughly about the same price or a bit less for seats in the same area so not to shabby.

Personally the pricing seems fair to lower than expected. To all criticising that do not reside in the greater L.A area you may not be as familiar with the cost of thing in L.A as we are. I expect to pay about this price and demand to be payed a fair wage to compensate.

This is exactly it. It is not a great place for simply viewing a game but it is a great place to go to a game if you get me. I can still remember watching my Rams play there on a 70 degree sunny day and never once thought about how shitty the seats were. With newer venues that have way better sight lines and angles, I'm sure a lot of fans won't be impressed. But it is the freaking Coliseum! I absolutely have to go watch my Rams run out onto the grass and look up at the arches, Olympic Rings, and torch. Walking up to the stadium will bring back such memories - I can't wait to go there with my dad and two boys.
