I'm talking about in the background, as well as in featured games. In 2016, Rams players were interviewed, and there was commentary about the bust, Jared Goff and how Gurley was a flash in the pan. When would Fisher be fired, if ever? Remember, he signed a new deal not too long before he was fired and hence the talk of a Rams HC who might never be fired. Did Kroenke even care about winning?

Yeah, most of that sounds pretty stupid now.

IF we had any prime time games, we were normally flexed out because no one outside of Rams fans wanted to see them. But then it all started to change in 2017 with a new Coach and a Jared Goff operating at a high level. Now, we see the Rams everywhere. Whenever a show begins on NFL Network where they show clips of great plays, there is almost always a clip of Todd Gurley. To a lesser extent Jared Goff and Aaron Donald are sometimes featured. Todd and Jared are in the MVP conversation. An injured Rams CB is featured for the Sunday morning shows (Talib). It just seems that we are joining the handful of teams who represent the best of what the NFL has to offer, and just imagine what it would be like if the Rams win the Super Bowl?

It wasn't that long ago when Rams highlights would be the shortest segment of a highlight show or not even shown at all if time went long.

Plus, I remember for YEARS when they'd show highlights for a player, it would be AGAINST the Rams... like no player in the NFL made plays except against us. Heck, they'd go back years to show plays and I'd notice a guy not even on the team anymore and it was like,

"hey, we need to show a great play by a Viking, let's find a Rams clip."
"But they didn't play the Rams this year."
"Just find the latest one, no one will notice..."

I notice fewer and fewer plays being shown against us even as our D hasn't been awesome all year (although it HAS been awesome in critical moments).

Yeah, it is like 1999-2001 all over again. I remember being so disgusted with the NFL in the 90's... every story on ESPN was about Jerry Jones & the Cowboys and Jimmy Johnson going to Miami, Bill Parcels in NE & the Jets etc...

It was like the Rams were not even a part of the league anymore.. just an after thought.

Now we have seen that same type of transformation again, but this time we have adults in charge that should be able to keep it going. No Martz, or Ziggy, or weak ownership that let things fester, etc...

And also they are in a location that is attractive to FAs so not only will the coach and culture draw players here, but also the location and the new facilities etc..

In short it is a great time to be a Ram fan again.

And yet, if you venture into an ROD game day thread this year, you would swear it was 2009, lol.

Loving the good vibes this team is getting in the media. I also enjoy the haters. Hater tears are the sweetest. I'm looking at you Kay Adams. Walter.........your tears taste like cheap liquor and shame.

I saw this guy with a Rams hat yesterday and I couldn’t help but think I bet he got that in the past year. We’ll be experiencing a lot of band wagon fans, which kinda pisses me off, but it comes with the territory of winning so ultimately I’m okay with it. I just don’t like when people say they’re fans but did they suffer like the majority of us on this forum did? Nevertheless, having McVay now has just made it all that much sweeter. All the pain and suffering, I think, will have been worth it because I am willing to say right here and right now that McVay will win at least one Super Bowl with us (knock on wood, of course). Frankly I think we’re the next Patriots, but a way classier version, who will be successful for many many years to come. GO RAMS!!!!!!!

A trick I've learned to tell if someone is a band wagon fan is to ask them the name of the starting Center.

I'm impress that you could even remember how to spell hiss name correctly much less that he was a Ram.
Just one of those names that pop in the head. I just looked it up and I'm off a letter or two lol.

You have to be careful about judging someone a bandwagon fan. I called into 101ESPN one time and made mention that I was a fan since 1969, and he quizzed me because my voice sounded young for that. I was a kid and mostly paid attention to RB’s, QB’s, and the defense. He asked me a question about the Oline, and the answer was Tom Mack...Of course I knew about him later, but he was just a guy in front of the QB to me as a 5 yr old kid at the time.

I’m no Fisher fan and was very happy to see him go, but just imagine this team with Fisher’s defense.

Now it’s true that most teams knew they wouldn’t need to score much to win so didn’t need to push the envelope. And it’s also true that Fisher’s teams would often get gashed by the run. But who wouldn’t trade that defensive play for what we have now?

Winning attracts attention

The rams fans that hid their loyalty over the last decade, they are all buying and wearing rams gear.

The young kids that are deciding on a team to follow, will usually choose the team that is winning.

It's a good time to be a rams fan , enjoy it, it's been a long time

IVE been a Rams fan since 1973. As I get older I am proud to have suffered through so many years (hoping for a .500 season only to settle for 7-9 or worse) and now being treated with success again. It may be a long run or short run but but sticking with my team makes The taste of success that much sweeter.
