Offense:

  • WR Davante Adams: 94.6
  • QB Matthew Stafford: 83.3
  • LT Alaric Jackson: 80.6 PB 81.2 RB 77.4
  • TE Colby Parkinson: 78.4
  • TE Davis Allen: 77.2
  • Steve Avila - 74.8 | 77.4
  • RB Blake Corum: 71.1
  • RB Kyren Williams: 70.4
  • TE Terrance Ferguson: 66.1
  • WR Tutu Atwell: 66.1
  • Kevin Dotson - 64.4 | 68.3
  • Warren McClendon - 63.6 | 66.3
  • WR Konata Mumpfield: 59.6
  • TE Tyler Higbee: 56.4
  • WR Xavier Smith: 46.1
  • Coleman Shelton - 33.0 | 74.0

Defense

  • CB Trent McDuffie: 91.0
  • DB Quentin Lake: 85.5
  • NT Poona Ford: 84.0
  • DT Tyler Davis: 81.7
  • OLB Byron Young: 77.6
  • DT Kobie Turner: 71.6
  • DT Aaron Donald: 70.3
  • LB Nate Landman: 59.8
  • OLB Josaiah Stewart: 47.2
  • CB Jaylen Watson: 46.1
  • OLB Wesley Bailey: 40.8
  • DT Braden Fiske: 39.8

Trending up the run D. Trending down special teams. Fiske needs to perform better. At this point I would say he is 50/50 to get a second contract. Poona Ford nice game after the first game performance. Most unsung and desperately needed to be that guy in the middle.

And Fiske's lining-up-in-neutral-zone penalty as dumb as they come. Inexcusable, lazy penalty.

I thought that at first, but if you look at how the Rams DL was lined up, those to his right were slightly off the ball, shifting the perspective slightly.

There was a straight line for the DL, but it wasn’t parallel to the LOS and he was lined up in the neutral zone.

Of course he needs to get that right, but it wasn’t as simple as he was just misaligned. The typical visual cues were off slightly

I observed many offensive snaps where RG Dotson blocked nobody ....he was just holding out both arms, touching the shoulders of the OC & RT as they fought off rushers??

I also noticed very loose coverage numerous times by CB Jaylen Watson. Very concerned on his effort thus far. JW allowed a 121.4 passer rating when targeted by opposing quarterbacks. He surrendered 4 receptions in coverage. Starting CB's with a current 2026 season grade is 56.2 overall, including a 52.2 coverage grade, do not normally get over a $50 million contract for 3 seasons with a near $27 million Guaranteed.

NT Ford played sparingly Kobie Turner got the largest amount of snaps @ NT. NT Ty Hamilton got 12 dozen snaps

Any ROD realize that RG Dotson did not get a published PFF grade ??? might be advanced stats were still being reviewed by senior PFF analysts.

X Smith should got a minus grade. Cobbled ball, fair catches inside the ten giving Rams horrible field position. That needs to change.
Fair catches inside the 10 yd line are common now.

Not defending Smith.,just pointing it out that fact

The PFF numbers look off to me. I know people find the numbers suspect...can't they adjust their formula to reflect reality?

I was watching cutups of offensive plays and one guy stood out.

The "secret superstar" on our team is....

Coleman Shelton. Currently, Shelton is the top graded center in the NFL, per PFF. He has a very low pass blocking grade but the top run blocking grade. Creed Humphrey is ranked 3rd. Shelton gets paid a fraction of the salary of the top centers in the NFL, so if he continues to produce, it is a really good bang for the buck to the Rams. Shelton is very mobile with good range getting to 2nd level defenders on runs and screen passes. The tradeoff is since he's a lighter, more athletic guy, his anchor isn't great when pass blocking. You can get him sometimes with push pull moves and he needs help from the G to bail him out. Also, if the head coach gets the bright idea of having the QB do a sneak at the GL, Shelton isn't the best candidate to create a surge. Overall, however, he's a useful player and an underrated cog that helps to make the run game go. Good career for a former UDFA who started out as just a PS player. In a way, not drafting Creed Humphrey has helped the construction of the 2026 team, because the Rams don't have to carry Humphrey's large salary on the cap. We can allocate that money elsewhere. Humphrey has a cap charge of over $18 million this year and it goes up to over $21 million next year. Shelton's average salary is only 33% of Humphrey's cap hit for 2026. Ironically, the difference in cap space almost entirely covers Trent McDuffie's (Creed's former teammate) 2026 cap charge. Since Shelton is on an expiring contract, the Rams have plenty of financial flexibility next year if they decide not to retain him, though we'll have to figure out what to do at C to replace him.

One thing I will say this year. I have noticed more open space on punt returns that give our guy a chance to run up the field. Which means the guys upfield are blocking better. Hopefully our returner gets better.

My hope for ST is that Conners comes up for Rivers and can actually return kicks. He has the wiggle and the speed, you'd think he'd thrive in it. Send Smith to the PS and bring up Daniels potentially? He would likely have caught that Smith drop.

Conners seems like a do-it-all type that could be good on kicking side (gunner) as well.

Interesting how they graded the same. PFF penalized Ferguson heavily for the drops. Tutu gets high points for a 19-yard reception on only two targets. For some reason, McVay won't get him 3-5 targets a game. I don't understand why, but as I said in another thread, they should fill his spot with a good returner.

It's always interesting how PFF bases its grading.

In 2025, Konata Mumpfield's percentage of use was 33% of the snaps on offense & 16% on STs...thus far in 2026 KM is averaging #48% of the offensive snaps & 23% of the ST snaps.

Xavier Smith in 2025 got 20.5 % of the offensive snaps & 33.5 % of the ST snaps. In 2 games this season, he's got 34% of the offensive snaps & 50% of the ST snaps.

I am also in favor of seeing more of WR CJ Daniels & getting Puka Nacua 100 healthy, plus calling up RB Dean Conners from the PS16 in place of SS Tanner Ingle.
