I would go a step further and say that because Ford played so few snaps, it exposed Landman to blocks/blockers he doesn’t regularly have to fight—hence his bad game.

I’d say WTF is up with PFF !! There was a player who on run downs CAN’T help a lick !! Sort of upsetting. You look at the middle ,but forget the Edge ! B. Young was playing hurt as well as Puna. Why the ROOKIE is playing SO much LBer is beyond me?? Don’t like that look for The Rams.

Speights is a player I’m not a Big Fan of.I give him credit to becoming a starter.I guess he gets an EXCUSE?? Is he playing 100% ? He is on the Reggie Report this week.Missed a game or 2 earlier in the season.

I guess I’m just curious if we see anything really different? I think I might have deleted this Carolina game to even review?? Stewart though isn’t a very good tackler IMO. He’s a twinner.

Forbes score feels like the kind of mark they would give you at school just for turning up and spelling your own name correctly.

What the fuck did Hamilton do to get 29.1? Run out wearing clown shoes?
Well - Murch helped seal like the niners game ?? One of those games he had a sack ? Not sure which one,but he adds energy on The D”Line for some.

I. Stewart only had 22 snaps, but seemed like more.I guess he was in on all the Big Panthers Plays against ?? Hampton doesn’t do much ? He got 12 to many Snaps imo.

You don't remember the days where Evans consistently got scores in the teens.

Poona was a huge FA signing, it's no coincidence that we are much improved against the run.
This game had a very similar script to the SF & Phi losses.
We turned it over on almost certain scoring drives and in some of the cases it led straight to the opponent scoring.
No team can lose the turnover battle in this way and when very often. We had some subpar performances when compared to the norm from key players as well.

Verse has taken a step back this year. Young has been better.
Step back?

Last year he had 4.5 sacks
This year he has 6
Last year he forced 2 fumbles
This year 3
Last year he had 11 tackles for a lost
This year he has 9 with 5 games remaining
Last year he had 18 QB hits
This year 20

I'm honestly amazed that I keep seeing this horrible opinion so much. If this is a step back I hope the monster keeps regressing in your eyes ever year because he'll be a DPOY very soon. Just because Young finally realized his potential doesn't mean somebody else on the team regressed in order for it to happen.

The expectations were unreasonably high. He’s being crowned as the Aaron Donald of edge rushers. He hasn’t done a very good job of contain/setting the edge though. That’s been consistently average his first two years.

First off the bolded. By who and when? That is the most idiotic thing I've ever read on here about Verse or anybody else. There was exactly one Aaron Donald for the Rams and the NFL those type of players don't grow on trees. To expect anybody to duplicate AD is just wow my actual thoughts on that take would piss off the mods that's beyond ignorant. Can't help peoples expectations no matter if they're realistic or not.

But if you are going to say somebody is not good this year or has regressed then come with facts not feelings. Otherwise it makes you look like you don't even watch the games. Add to that stuff above I posted his pass rush win rate is up from last year and is almost identical to Youngs and Verse is the #2 rated run defending Edge in the NFL and the first isn't Young unfortunately for us.

I get it sacks are the sexy stat but if that's all your basing it on then even that is wrong cause he has more than last year even though judging an edge on just one thing is silly.

As for consistently average for Verse? Yeah I'll just ignore that because Verse has been anything but average.

I’m not sure if you are getting ruffled by my post or by the comment that some people are unfairly comparing Verse to be someone like Donald. So I’m going to give you a pass because I don’t think you really read my take.
I’m not saying he’s comparable to Donald. I’m not saying that he’s regressed. I’m saying any comparison is unfair and illogical as they are at different points in their career and they play different positions. Now If you haven’t heard this comparison then I don’t know where you’ve been.
He does seem to tire at times and he does seem to not contain or hold the edge at times. But he’s clearly a disrupter and a weapon. Those are my observations.

I've never heard he had to equal or replace AD anybody saying that is being absurd. What I've heard and said is he would replace him as the next leader of the defense which he's absolutely done.

I’m going with we are in agreement. Love Verse. Looking forward to him in horns for many years.

Verse & Young combined still does not equal the Donald affect, but they are holding up their end.

It is more a team effort now with Fisk, Verse, Young, and let me add Stewart on the DL. In AD's day he had to pretty much carry the weight up front without a lot of help.
Which to me tells me Young and Verse are more than adequately carrying the mantle of AD.

I didn't want to create a new post so I am putting this here.

This is the play where Stafford got sacked at the end of the game.

If Stafford had looked at his checkdown

All 3 losses this year were tough to understand and deal with. But we did have a couple wins that could have gone the other way. The ride to the SB is the fun part and an adventure.
