Morning Ram-blings: Similar to Seattle?
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/8934/morning-ram-blings-similar-to-seattle

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- As the incumbent world champions, the Seattle Seahawks are the team every other team in the league aspires to be.

While there's no blueprint for every team to follow to reach the NFL's pinnacle, the Seahawks have certainly set forth an impressive path to the Lombardi trophy. In what was a complete rebuild, the Seahawks tore down their roster and completely reinvented it with new coach Pete Carroll and Co. Seattle built through the draft and made a record-setting number of roster moves in the process.

In his weekly mailbag, ESPN senior NFL writer John Clayton was asked if he sees a little bit of that Seahawks' plan in how the St. Louis Rams have been built.

Clayton offered an interesting response, noting the similarities between the rebuilds but also pointing out that much will fall on quarterback Sam Bradford to elevate the Rams to the next level.

"The Rams have an all-star defensive line and a decent back seven," Clayton wrote. "The offensive line should be better, but it's all up to Bradford. He's the key to getting them over the top."

Indeed, many expect big things from the Rams defense in 2014 and the biggest question remaining is whether they can score enough to win in football's toughest division. Seattle doesn't ask much of quarterback Russell Wilson, but when they need a big play, he seems to find a way to do it. If the Rams can get something similar from Bradford, the comparisons to Seattle might be more tangible.
