Morning Ram-blings: The latest on Los Angeles
By Nick Wagoner

http://espn.go.com/blog/st-louis-rams/post/_/id/16455/morning-ram-blings-the-latest-on-los-angeles

EARTH CITY, Mo. -- Since we last started the morning with some rambling, much has happened on the stadium front in the Los Angeles area. This time, however, none of it is directly related to the St. Louis Rams, though the repercussions will certainly trickle down to them.

It started with the Los Angeles Times' Thursday night report that the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders are teaming up to build a new stadium in Carson, California, so long as efforts in their current cities fail in 2015.

Along with that, the Times reports that temporary stadium homes would be needed for any teams moving to Los Angeles. The NFL is more serious about Los Angeles than it's been in a long time.

Times columnist Bill Plaschke writes that Los Angeles would still be better off if the Rams were the team to return to the city.

ESPN's Arash Markazi details how Rams owner Stan Kroenke's plan turned up the heat on the Chargers and Raiders.

Jim Trotter provides an FAQ on the Los Angeles situation.

ESPN NFL Nation Chargers reporter Eric Williams offers his take on the Carson solution, and Raiders reporter Bill Williamson does the same.

There's a lot to digest here, but it's also important to remember this thing is really just getting started. There's going to be plenty of plot twists over the next few months, starting with next month's owners meetings in Arizona. On the surface, it looks like a positive development for fans who want the Rams to stay in St. Louis.

But it's also worth noting that Kroenke remains the biggest power broker in this. He's the only owner of the three teams who has the money to move mountains and make things happen without substantial outside support. There are no guarantees in any of this, so the best thing to do is just wait it out and see what happens.
