I’ve been holding back.

Never have I seen a thread or talk about how The Rams offense is run.

I was watching a game this year2021 & the announcer(?) said Sean Mcvay & The Rams script there first 15 plays.

Has anyone hear ever known that & why is (hasn’t) it been discussed more?

Started watching games with a different view & it has frustrated me.
I also wonder how much of the game planning is put in by Kevin O’Connell?

Phillips & Brown also are part of it being coordinators .

Many (most?) teams script their first handful of plays. It lets them go in and start setting up things they hope to exploit early. When it works, it's great. When it goes off the rails, not so much.

My other view has been how late in the clock the plays are called & run.

Pisses me off. When Goff was QB in 17,18,19 he & Mcvay were right in line & Goff had less freedom.Mcvay would call a Time out almost every time which I liked. There was never hardly ever a delay of game & if there was it won’t cost much, because of game management of Mcvay.
He did burn a couple timeouts, but that was more on him than Goff.

yes I understand that ,but how games are called have more of a meaning when that happens. You knew how many ? Do you have ever question it ?

Oh no, I didn't know the exact number. I'm not sure announcer does either. I've always thought it was more "about 15" than a literal 15, but I don't have any real basis for that.

Often times the scripted plays exclude 3rd downs since distance to convert is very specific. It is Ironic how teams like KC generally get better once they have surpassed their scripted period.

Well I think you could go back & see where it effected The Rams. Especially on short yards & Red Zone.

Teams have adjusted to that. I'm not saying it's true, but the word on the street was that Goff didn't know what to do after the mic cut off, so teams started showing different looks during the last few seconds. When those shifts occur, the line needs time to adjust the protection.

Right now, OBJ is still fresh, so there may be discussions regarding what to do, and Stafford likes to audible and call out hot routes. Some of the plays require motions as well.

Well I’m wondering how this effects The Rams. Makes me question Mcvay’s offense a lot more now.
If The Rams lose tonight,I just hope Mcvay doesn’t start blaming himself like he always does.I say that because he does it more often now than not.
I hope more for a Rams victory & they at least do as well as last season.I find it funny how he is more on the defensive when it comes to Stafford.Maybe that was a lesson learned from Raheem Morris.”
