This one concerns me a bit. For me it goes back to the fact I was leery of our DL coach hire last offseason. Didn't like his history of assignment vs the finishes of the defenses he was a part of. Now granted I didn't look at film of his units or anything, just quick look at what he was associated with and it left me concerned.

So if the asst DL coach had a big hand in what seemed like a very high work rate DL and their significant improvement as the season went on, this move could hurt us. Not as concerned as I was last year in losing what I felt was one of the best DL coaches in the league. But I am sure McVay will make a strong asst hire once again.

Wasn't the guy we hired we DL coach VERY well respected and successful?
