Rams Front Office looking to fill holes on the roster and provide quality depth
FA:
Cut Dhal and wells. Resign Saffold. Although the rams will have to pay Saffold big bucks, he is worth the investment. He can fill in at both OG and OT positions while playing at a high level.
Snead has commented that he wants to bring back Finnegan at a lower cost and I believe him. 2 million on a one year deal.
Trades:
-#2 for #7 Tampa 2nd round pick in 2014 and 2015. Bucs need DE Clowney.
- Trade down #13 to 19th for 2nd round pick, 3rd rounder in 2015. Miami takes Lewan to start at OT.
Draft:
#7: Mathews falls to the Rams. Will start at LG from day one. RT Barksdale will most likely seek a big pay day after the season. Doubt the Rams can afford to pay another OL big bucks...so move Long to RT and have Mathews take over at LT in 2015.
#19th: After the Dallas selects HaHa at number 16, Rams take the hard hitting S Pryor. New DC Williams gets a bad man in the secondary.
2nd round: OLB Van Noy 6'3 243 4.71
Has the quickness to play in space and excellent instincts for the game. Kyle shiuld benefit greatly from having a stout DL unit. Considered a safe pick at SLB. Fills the void left by Dunbar.
2nd round: DT Quarles 6'4 297
Has the potential to be a very solid DT for years. Will have the luxury of coming off the bench his rookie year then possibly take over in 2015. Has good strength and quickness.
2nd round: WR M. Bryant 6'4 211 4.42
Rams bring in a tall WO that can stretch the field. Is considered raw and lacks concentration at times. Potentially he is a top 15 players, will need a year or two for development but can provide instant big plays as a rookie.
3rd round: CB Watkins 5'11 194 4.41
Played S his SR year But has experience playing CB. A good hitter with speed so he should be able to make the transition back to CB at the next level. Will challenge Finnegan for nickel back. Capable of backing up Pryor at S if needed.
