I think its pretty much a wash. Both QB's have played poorly at times. If Bradford was playing better the Eagles woulda got the better of it. But as long as Bradford plays its good for us.

I think Bradford has done well and continues to get better. The Philly system fits him better. I think Foles is in the same situation Bradford was in here. Foles has good weapons but this offense has to diversify more. I think Cigs sees that and he's making more changes every week. The better the OLine gets the more he can incorporate.

I wanted the Rams to keep Bradford. I wanted to see what he could do in a healthy 16 games with Austin & Co. That being said, even if he did make it 16 games, (which was as likely as him missing a dozen or half the year) AND he played well, we'd have to give him another payday with the possibility of injury still present in the coming years. In hindsight, I'm glad they went the route they chose. I like Foles' moxie and believe he fits what they want to accomplish on offense......run, run and more runs with play action passing. We've got Foles for 3 years @ 26 million. Bradford would have cost us 13 + 3 this year and probably much, much more for 4 or 5 years if he had a successful 2015 season, with the possibility of repeat injury always present. I guess the real proof will be in our record over the next 3 seasons (2015-17).

Many different points to evaluate this trade. Both QBs have played poorly. Money wise $$$$$ Rams win big time even with the Foles extension. Draft picks is another big win for Rams should Bradford continue to play and get the +50% of snaps. Rams lose a 5th and gain a 2nd. The Rams could also lose a 4th but, that still gives the Rams a 2nd for 5th and 4th. The trade evaluation could change as each QB gets more playing time to improve but, as of now it a clear Rams win!!!!!

The Rams got a 4th for their 5th, too. The trade was Bradford, a 5th in 2015, and a chance for a 3rd or 4th (definitely not a 3rd now; pretty good chance of not a 4th either) in exchange for Foles, a 4th in 2015 and a 2nd in 2016. Oh, and a ton of cap space for 2015, which allowed them to not convert money for Quinn into a signing bonus which would have hurt cap space for the rest of Quinn's contract.

I've said it before - Bradford has to outplay Foles significantly this year for the trade to be anything but a win for the Rams. Maybe not a ginormous win, but a win.

Here's the deal for me. I just can't imagine Bradford walking away from that Matthews spearing that Foles took in stride. Foles got absolutely BLASTED with the crown of the helmet so obviously that he was moved off of his feet horizontally.

I just can't imagine Bradford surviving a hit like that. THAT hit alone made Foles the guy.

Don't care about the picks.

The best QB wins.

It's debatable, but I think both teams would be better with their original QB's, at this point.

I don't know if either QB, is the future for their respective teams.

Depends on what the pick turns into.

Which, we dont, or probably, won't know for 2 to 4 years. We are ready to win now, no?

I don't have faith in Foles. Maybe its not all his fault. Maybe the line is just that bad. Maybe the receivers are just that bad. But from what I've seen through 6 games, Foles is not the answer. Questionable accuracy. Questionable decision making.

Take away that 2013 season and you have a guy who passed for 25 TD's and 20 INT's in 18 games before today. QB rating of 79.82 and completion percentage just under 60. That is not terrible. But it ain't good. Its probably below average. And this year is even worse so far. I saw nothing today that made me think he's going to get better.

It's a wash still.

We still don't have a franchise QB on roster IMO. I hope that changes next year.

Speed would be nice - but I'd settle for a faster processor.
Exactly.

But, when you don't have it, you need to be able to improvise. It's why I mentioned Brady, who I hate to mention.

Both of them TA and TG30 with little if anything else beyond spotty contribution
I think it's better than just those two...but I won't argue. I'll just say the OC has to be able to make adjustments better based on what the defense is doing.

It's not a wash and here's why.

We got Foles and right now he is on an easy to pay/easy to cut contract. The Eagles got a 13MIL one year rental that they gave up a 2nd round pick and the best QB on their roster to get.

This is tilted in the Rams favor.
