Rams DTs even more dominant than they looked

Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers were about as dominant as two defensive tackles could be in Sunday's 34-31 Rams overtime victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
According to coaches' review of game film, Brockers was credited with a team-high 13 tackles. With 11 tackles, Donald was tied for second on the team (with linebacker Alec Ogletree). The totals were career highs for both players.
Defensive tackle is not normally a "stat" position on defense, so having not one, but two players at the position register double-figures in tackles is impressive. Two of Donald's 11 stops were tackles for loss, and two more were sacks. Brockers, who defensive line coach Mike Waufle called his most improved player near the end of the preseason, had a quarterback pressure and a tackle for loss.
"Aaron's the most disruptive D-tackle in football; he's the best D-tackle in football," defensive end Chris Long said. "It doesn't hurt to have somebody like 'Brock' on the other side. I think sometimes he gets overshadowed, but he's a helluva a player in his own right.
All told the Rams had six sacks Sunday. They also had six quarterback hits and 13 QB hurries. Long accounted for six of the 13 pressure.
Strong safety T.J. McDonald was a fourth Rams tackler in double-figures with 10.
