If you've never watched this movie, and know anything about the "trekkie" conventions, you won't regret spending the time watching this one.... it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The whole cast is great, even this "guy #5" lol! Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Shalhoub (the actor from "Monk"), all were great.

back to the OP -- this is literally the only other media reax I can find, anyone else see anything?

Yep. One of my family's favorite movies. I've probably watched it 20 times.

Probably the most underrated movie in popular culture. I'm always surprised how many people have not seen Galaxy Quest and miss the references in casual conversation.
