I prefer to subscribe to the "one game at a time" philosophy. New Orleans will be the Rams biggest test since the Minnesota game. It will be quite an achievement to take care of the hot Saints in their house.

It's all a matter of POV and perspective. It's up to the Rams to be one game at a time, which I am positive they will. For us, the game won't be affected by what we believe or say. As for which is the greater achievement, it's a bigger one for them to beat the Rams, than vice versa.

The Rams are straight up better than everyone, imo.

We need HFA. Winning the division and playing in the Wild Card Round will hinder our chances of reaching the SB.

Division pfaw. That's small potatoes. Goal is home field through the playoffs. Soooo let's start with a big win in Nawlins MFers!

One goal at a time, grasshopper....
1. Win NFC WEST by the Bye.
2. Win the First Round Bye by mid December
3. Go 16-0, even after resting starters in the last two games...
4. Go ahead and win the first of 5 Super Bowls in seven years......

Didn't want to mention these goals, in case some might think I'm getting a little ahead of myself with the Saints game

Nah the division is all but sewn up just a matter of time. Already have a big lead plus a win over Sheattle head to head. When it's announced everyone will be like "whatevs, but WHAT ABOUT THAT HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE THROUGH THE PLAYOFFS???" :p

It's weird to be 8-0 and consider this a must win almost. I only say that because even though la isn't the best home field advantage it would suck to have to play the saints at there place in the playoffs.
Anything can still happen down the stretch but if the Rams win this one they would be in excellent shape. If not your looking at a war the rest of the season with the saints basically having same record minus the bye week they had and if neither of us go on to lose another tie breaker is theirs.

Plus I want to bury Sean Peyton. I didn't forget preseason nor his seemingly obvious disdain for our young head coach the old bat seems to take it personally that he is getting all these accolades boy genius etc. he is one salty envious dude.

I been thinking the whole week that we all said the play calling in that packers game seemed very basic almost vanilla. Maybe boy genius dumbed the playbook down a bit knowing deep down or just plain having faith in our talent still being able to come up with the win just so he could come in guns a blazin with a wide open playbook for this game.
Hopefully the saints play that dime defense the packers looked to have so much success with. If you look at it forgetting all fancy stuff we are usually good for at least 3-5 screen passes a game we used none against that defense. Then we use one wheel type route and bang touchdown. I'm hoping it's all to set up a bigger picture. The play calls in the packer game were definitely not at all close to what we are used to seeing. What do you guys think?

Going negative and say we go 6-2, that's still 14-2. We are winning home field advantage with that, don't you think?

That would depend on what the saints do....if they go 14-2 then no. We would have to look at the rest of their schedule but you could best believe if they beat us this week they will be flying high from here on in.

We are flying high right now, so why not believe that? The Ram are going to destroy this team.

I didn't say if I believe it or not I'm psyched just like the rest of us I was just pointing out possible scenarios and how even at 8-0 this game is huge. I did look at the saints schedule and they have some tough games left ...steelers him I think .....Cincy in Cincy is not so easy....panthers twice yet....Falcons not good but always a shootout at saints.....at Cowboys ...at bucs....eagles home...so they definitely don't have an easy road so it will be interesting.

One goal at a time? Stomp the fuck out of the Aints - then we can look at the next goal. I want Payton pissing his khakis by the 2nd qtr and thinking, "maybe I shouldn't have been such a douche in that meaningless preseason game." I want that twat crying in his Wheaties.

Agreed, HFA is crucial.

If Rams win on Sunday, they’ll have a 2 game lead (in the loss column) on NO, plus the tiebreaker.

If Rams lose, though, they are still in decent shape because IMHO the Saints sched looks tougher than ours. After Rams, the Saints play CIN, Phil, ATL, Dal, TB, Car, Pit, Car. All those games are loseable by NO.

Rams have a tough sched also, but they close with 2 cupcakes (Ariz and SF).

Anyway... huge game on Sun of course, but Rams can still get HFA with a loss.
