OFC this takes into account we restructure Bradford's contract which I see as a real possibility.

Releases:
Jake Long
Scott Wells

Resign:
Kenny Britt
Mike Person
Rodney McCleod
Lance Kendricks

Free Agent Signings:
Mike Iupati LG
usa-today-8297545.0.jpg

I know Iupati is going to make a sweet paycheck but from what I've read it looks like it's going to be in the 6-9 million range. Age 27 and would upgrade our LG position into a nice road grader while moving Saffold over to the mostly agreed upon better fit for him at RG while hurting our rivals at the same time. ;)
Stefen Wisniewski C

Age 25 and he is still young and healthy, probably won't get as much as Hudson I've read who is a hell of a young center as well but is a welcome upgrade to make the blocking calls coming up to the line.4-5 mill

Draft:
Les Snead works another nice deal. ( using the trade value chart as a guideline)
Rams trade 1st Rd. #10, 2nd Rd. # 9 (41) and Kendall Langford for
#4 pick from Oakland.
Rams draft Marcus Mariotta at #4 and then trade Mariotta to Philadelphia for:
2015 1st round pick #20,
2015 second round pick # 52,
Nick Foles
2016 1st round pick.

With the # 20 pick the St. Louis Rams select:
Andrus Peat RT Stanford

Analysis
Strengths
Tall with a thick lower body and well-proportioned frame. Has good knee bend and movement for a power player. Shows some bounce in his feet. Gains plenty of ground on kick slide but keeps his weight under him. Able to transition from pass set to power step inside to close down inside moves. Hand placement generally good in run and pass. Plays with a strong, wide base. Above-average understanding of protections. Instinctive against twists and reacts quickly to them. Able to drop his anchor in pass protection. Powerful drive blocker with explosive hips. Plays with leverage and leg drive to mow down overmatched defenders. Punishes defensive tackles when asked to secure with a down-block. Once he locks out, has the anchor and power to end his opponent's chances.
Weaknesses
Left tackle displaying some edge fear. Technique breaks down when facing wide rushers with juice off the snap. Opens up prematurely and turns into a lunger. Waist-bender. Will lead with head and hands, hoping to land a strike and engulf the edge speed. Needs to improve angle of pass sets against speed. Has direction-change issues when moving in space. Gets stuck to first block too long, allowing second-level target to escape over top. Has issues with sustaining blocks on second level and doesn't always work feet to improve positioning when blocking laterally.
NFL Comparison
Charles Spencer
Bottom Line
Big and powerful with a right tackle's play strength and demeanor, but enough foot quickness to protect on the left side. Peat has the physical tools to be an upper-echelon run blocker with pass-protection ability, but he needs to improve his technique in order to protect with consistency. Peat has been well-coached and is one of the most game-ready offensive linemen in this year's draft.

With so much pass rushing talent in this years draft and a few other talented O-Linemen I really think Peat could fall to #20 into our laps :)

With the #52 in the second round the St. Louis Rams select:
Jalen Collins CB LSU
upload_2015-2-13_21-13-37.jpeg
Analysis
Strengths
Rare combination of height, weight and speed. Has the foot quickness and twitch to trigger on demand. Uses soft, bouncy feet to change direction and drive instantly on throws. Has arm length to play from trail position and still knock passes away. Desired awareness in zone with extended playmaking range. Will make plays outside of his area and has speed to come across field to chase down a loose running back or receiver. Able to redirect from press coverage and will only get better with more coaching. Leaper with the ability to challenge and win 50/50 throws. Buys in and does his part in run support.
Weaknesses
Only 10 career starts. Plays with talent over technique. Needs to improve patience in press coverage rather than opening up too early. More of a straight-line burner than fluid, change-of-direction athlete. A little stiff-hipped and is a tick slow to open and accelerate. Plays with build-up speed over instant gas. Inconsistent to turn and find/track the ball. Not a naturally aggressive, physical player. Can hit with force, but doesn't go out of his way looking for it. Showed more aggression as a tackler earlier in season than he did to close the year.
Sources Tell Us
"They all have holes, but Collins is what you are looking for in an NFL cornerback with his length and speed. He isn't there yet, but he has the traits and ability to become a high-end starter and maybe the best cornerback from this draft." -- NFC director of personnel
NFL Comparison
Terence Newman
Bottom Line
Immensely talented cornerback who brings the entire triangle (height, weight, speed) with him. Still learning technique and how to sink his feet with his eyes, but the instincts and athleticism to make plays on the ball both short and deep are what set him apart. Collins is a work in progress, but his physical and play traits create a very high ceiling if he continues to learn to play the position.

With our depth at CB I think this guy could be a diamond in the rough once he gets some time to get the feel of things in the NFL to be a dominate corner. Plus he's 6'2 and 'lengthy'

Round #3 pick BPA or Hundley if he falls.

Biggest needs this off season?
O-Line and QB
I give you:
LT Greg Robinson
LG Mike Iupati
C Stefen Wisnieski
RG Rodger Saffold
RT Andrus Peat

That's a hell of a upgrade to keep Bradford from getting killed from he likes of Long/Joseph/ Wells, young and very talented for many years to come. Plus could you imagine our running game?

QB situation you say?
Sam Bradford as our fearless leader but if he isn't ready we have Nick Foles and while I know Foles isn't a HOF QB we have for insurance but I'd take him any f'n day over Austin 'pick 6' Davis and Shaun 'over the ' Hill. If this scenario did play out and Hundley dropped to the third I'd draft him in a heartbeat and sit him to touch him up mentally.

Ok one wildcard thought to that I've been thinking of for years but this year I believe it can come true. Just hear me out (or read). lol

If it got into day 3 and he have our 5th rounder wouldn't you trade him for somebody like this guy if he isn't cut anyways by his team before Free Agency?

maybe even 2 seventh's. Which we should have a extra one or two. I absolutely love this guy. He is a man among boys out there while dealing with Jay Cutlers ass!

Just imagine a healthy Bradford throwing to Marshall, Britt, Quick (not holding my breath), Tavon, Cook, Kendricks. Wow... Anyways,

Please tell me what you guys think about everything?
This trade scenario has been running around in my head since before I got here to the U.K. and I honestly think the Raiders and Eagles would do it if we could get some decent value and everyone fulfills their needs and wants here.

I apologize for being blunt...but cutting Long and Wells alone isn't going to get you anywhere near Iupati or Wisniewski, let alone both. Peat isn't going to fall out of the top fifteen. And I don't see Harkey among the re-signings list.

So why wouldn't Philadelphia and Oakland just trade by themselves? And the only instance I've heard of someone being picked and then immediately traded in recent memory was the Eli Manning situation... although there were special circumstances there.

Yea, that's what I was thinking. If Philly is willing to offer that, why wouldn't Oakland just take it?

Love the detail in the scouting reports though. Clearly put a lot of thought and time into it!

Yeah, I gotta say, I think if we resign either Barksdale or restructure and keep Long, I don't see how we can pay for two starters on the oline in FA. A starter and a backup, sure. I think we can get either a starter at guard or a starter at center but not both.

Lot of thought put into this, so props to that man.

But if we trade up and get Maraiota, we better damn well keep him. Just my opinion.

I like it overall. But a lot of people are putting a lot of faith in Britt and he was out performed by many other WRs with just as bad a QB and OL situation, a few of them rookies. If we got those two OLman in FA I would want a WR with that first pick. We gotta keep taking them until we find one that can put up 1300 yes in a season. I'm not sold on our WRs.

Also I'ma huge Foles fan and he is a very good QB. He would start not Bradford. He is very similar to Flacco and I'lltake that all day.
