Why haven't the Rams tried Barnes at G? The camp reports on him have been positive, he has good size and sounds like he is continuing to develop.

Is there a reason he cant play G or hasn't been tried at the position? Is he just strictly a Center? Can he make the team being a one spot guy? He has held his own in one on ones from the sounds of it...has good size and strength...

Curious what his story is and would like to get the opinion of those who have seen him play this summer...whats the story with him..where does he fit?

Is keeping 9 or 10 possible?

As a Mizzou follower, Barnes has played guard before. He's still probably too light for right guard, and he's better at center, but he can play left guard and left tackle in a pinch (I recall that he was brought in to play left tackle in that ill-fated Cheatriots game last year after Joe Barksdale went out with an injury.)

I believe CoachO just said that Barnes just recently has rotated in at Guard in sets where Williams is at Tackle.

He has gotten very limited reps at LG. and this is just as a stop gap as the continue to shift guys around while Saffold is out.

The biggest reason is frankly. He is just a better option at Center right now than Jones as Wells' backup.
