Alright. This one was tough. I want Blackmon in horns but this time around I played with the idea of taking Cox at 6...(which I'm not opposed too)

6. Fletcher Cox - DT

Our run stop has been almost as bad as our pass blocking and I doubt Kalil will be here. Fletcher Cox can instantly improve our entire defense.

33. Doug Martin - RB

Fast, quick, explosive, can catch, good vision...what's not to like? He's the second best RB in this draft. He's a perfect change of pace back and when SJ39 is ready to hang it up, he could take over (If SJ39 ever hangs it up. He's been in beast mode forever.)

39. Mohamed Sanu - WR

Very similar player to Justin Blackmon. He's a good route runner, explosive, can catch, he constantly lines up at different positions, and can get those important YAC. His best attribute maybe be his run blocking. With this team it is a must.

65. Brandon Brooks - OG
(Don't have highlights)

He's definitely a beast. He wasn't invited to the combine but he says he plans on being the first uninvited player to get drafted...I hope we make that happen.

96. Sean Spence - OLB
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWzJi1y6uhY

This one is my favorite. He has 2nd round talent but he's a bit undersized and was suspended in the Miami scandal. He is a day one starter and he lays the lumber.

171. Dwight Jones - WR

Remember when he was talked about as a late 2nd/ early 3rd round pick? Thank God he stunk it up. If Fisher can straighten him out then we may have an absolute steal here.

Round seven give me a punter and depth at TE. Uh-Oh has had too many boo-boos.

So, this is my final project. What do you think?

I think all those players could be there when the Rams pick and this could end up being a very smart draft. I wouldn't mind seeing it go this way but don't know if players will be there.

Justin Blackmon WR
David Wilson RB
Lavonte David OLB
Alameda Ta'amu DT
James Brown OG
Coty Sensabaugh CB
Lance Dunbar RB
Drew Butler P

This would be a great draft. Ta'amu is a weird one. He keeps rising then falling then rising again then falling lol. He's tough to put a round on.

Are you sure man? Cox is no Suh, and w/ Suh the Lions ranked on D:

23rd on passing, rushing, and total yardage this past year. 21st in total yards, 24th in rushing, and 16th in passing in 2010. Top 10 in sacks though, both years. It's not like they were an instant defensive juggernaut. This is why I'm so against taking a DT w/ the 6th pick. Their impact is so minimal, it honestly IMO wouldn't make any difference b/w a top 10 DT and a 4th round DT. I'd rather have a top all around D w/ fewer sacks, than a below average D that gets a ton of sacks.

I think it's the lion scheme that doesn't work. I almost positive they just tell Suh to go do whatever he wants. They look so lost from time to time. Cox can play the run. Our secondary is better than the Lions' and our LB corps would be better with the addition of a new starter via the draft.

I'm still hoping for Blackmon. I just put together a mock without him for once.
