If he comes out, I'd be thrilled with him too. Cant teach his release
Agreed so hard. His deep pass touch and athleticism is unteachable. Only things I'm concerned about are his tendency to "hero-ball" (where he could throw away the ball and live to fight another down or win another drive) and his overall intermediate game. A lot of the first could be his offensive line, but it's still a concern. Still, if he comes out, he should be our top target.
I agree, extremely intrigued by a Sellers/McVay matching. However, I have to believe the first evaluation of a McVay QB has to be between the ears. Processing, competitiveness, leadership, etc. I think that's where it starts, with accuracy being closely behind. Makes me wonder what he could do with Simpson, in particular.
Mendoza reminds me of Goff. I want a QB whose legs can be a legit weapon.
