As the title says with the draft creeping up on us it's time for you to break out your Nostradamus and predict Les Snead and company. Why 3 rounds? Well because it seems like a nice sample size for most fans without getting too nuts on the prospects you can't find film on. Will bump this post-draft for bragging rights or perhaps more likely just some laughs.

Warning: I'm gonna mix it up and get all crazy so buckle up buttercups :D:

<Rams trade down to early second round and scoop a fourth round pick>

2. Jace Sternberger, TE, Texas A&M. And Rams Nation goes insane, into full meltdown mode. My rationale with this pick is the Rams like to surprise us, and they need to add another weapon in the passing game; they are going to lose Higs after the season, and this guy is a smooth passing game weapon with excellent natural instincts. This is assuming Lawrence is off the board, btw, as I think that one is just too good to come true lol.

<Rams trade up into late second round and surrender a fifth round pick and next years fourth>

2. Renell Wren, NT, Arizona St. I think the Rams are high on this kid and covet him due to his fit and upside. He brings them exactly what they need, power on the interior who can anchor in or push the pocket, and he'll work and improve going forward under this staff. Why do I think they need to move up for him? Because they have a need and I don't think this dude lasts into the 90s.

3. Connor McGovern, OG, Penn St. Rams are going to need to bring in a couple OL in this draft, so adding a guy here who brings fit and value make sense. He slides right into the depth chart and starts getting some top-notch coaching in camp.

1. Marquise Brown, WR OU - and Rams fans trying to angrily post on ROD get the site temporarily shut down. Brown is a very interesting prospect because he could go as high as top 10 or as low as the 2nd round. I think that he will fall for two reasons: the number of good defensive players and teams that will overdraft the QBs and OL that need them. Some mocks that people have done had DK Metcalf falling into the 20s - while it's possible that Brown is drafted higher than him, it illustrates how deep this first round is (and then teams that will reach to pick for need such as QB and OL). If Brown falls, I don't think we would pass him up. McVay has shown that he wants to keep pushing the envelope on offense, and the next upgraded iteration of that would be Brown. He would instantly be better at taking jet sweeps and quick screens than any of our existing WRs, and all McVay would have to do to keep the WRs engaged is rotate snaps more frequently.

Woods took over Kupp's role (as McVay said multiple times), and this would provide an added dimension to our offense should we sustain another injury at WR (and if we play 3 WRs for that many offensive plays, we will).

Rams trade up - both 3rds to move to the top of the 3rd round

3. Khalen Saunders, NT Western Illinois - we'll call this the Cooper Kupp pick of the defense - Saunders will start from day one and be a good player for us

4. Michael Jordan, OL OSU - our primary depth at OL - can play either G or C, but better at G

5. Bryce Love, RB Stanford - I think he falls due to injuries and lack of pass protection (which is huge in today's NFL) - would essentially redshirt this year, but has the chance to become a good runner and offers some explosiveness

6. Michael Jackson CB, Miami

7. Ulysses Gilbert, ILB Akron

My official prediction all the way through - we sign a vet OL after the draft to add depth. Gilbert and Jackson contribute on special teams, Love and Jordan barely play, Saunders contributes the most. Brown only sees the field for about 20% of the snaps. Questionable whether Jordan and Jackson are available at those spots, but in this prediction obviously they are.

Bring it on. One my favorite things about the draft is people absolutely freaking out over a player being taken over a "name", blast the team for taking said player, and then sheepishly admit their wrong once that player ends up being a good pick.

First pick: Dalton Risner. Luxury pick for now but he's an excellent piece to have on the line when Whitworth go goes . Wouldn't be shocked if he beat out Blythe but worst case scenario he's your starting LG next year and he'll be a good one .

Second pick: Jachai Polite . This year's Arden Key but a better player imo .I haven't seen any news on ANYONE wanting to touch him except the Rams. I'd trade up slightly in the third to get him (backup plan would be Christian Miller. Just a solid edge rusher with a big ceiling and a decent floor).

3rd pick: Darnell Savage . Wishful thinking . He could easily be gone in the second round .But this is your events weddle replacement .

First pick (either first or second round) is going to be Jeffery Simmons.

My hunch is Chase Winovich with our 1st pick.

If he’s even still there.

Predicting anything beyond the first pick is a fool’s errand. Lol.

1. Marquise Brown, WR OU

Interesting take Frantik. And I do think wideout could be in play if it's the BPA who drops to us. That's the key tbh with that pick at 31. And yes lol, Rams fans would be tweakin looool.

I'd be good with that. It's funny how much more I like him the more I watch his film. I think he'll outperform quite a few guys who go ahead of him in his career.

Me too, Merlin.

The more I learned about Winovich, the more I liked.

I’ll say this. I think that many “experts” and pundits are really underrating the kid.

Plus, he sure sounds like a “McVay” kind of player, doesn’t he?

Not to mention that his position is one of our top 2 needs? Sooooo...

Rams trade pick #94 to Eagles and select Dexter Lawrence.
With their other 3rd round pick they select Jachai Polite and end his free
fall.

Two Trades.

1) Jacksonville moves up 7 spots from #38 overall in the 2'nd round for the Rams #31 pick in the 1'st. JAX cost is 4'th rounder #109

2) Rams swap 3'rd round pick #94 with Pittsburgh's #66. Cost : The Rams give up their 2020 3'rd round pick to Pittsburgh for the trade up.

* indicates red flag

1) N/A

2-38) DT - Jeffery Simmons, Ms.St. (ACL likely to keep him sidelined for most of the 2019 season) *

3-66) OG/C - Connor McGovern, PennSt.

3-99) OT - Max Scharping, N.Il.

4-109) CB - Jamal Dean, Auburn (Multiple knee injuries drops him) *

4-133) TE - Kahale Warring, S.D.St. (Lack of experience & snaps drops him) *

5-169) WR - Miles Boykin, N.D. or Jazz Ferguson, NWS

6-203) Edge OLB - Jordan Brailford, Ok.St.

7-251) DT - Olive Sagapolu, Wi.

Many great posts and especially things I would not see coming. Especially Brown.

My thoughts:

Option #1

#31 - Dexter Lawrence or Jeffrey Simmons or trade back 7 or 8 spots if half of Snead's options still there.
#94 and #99 use to trade up earlier in third and run to the podium to pick up Andy Isabella he fills KR solves if any WR foes down and we go in 4 wide sets with all that speed we will blow teams away.

Option #2

#31 - Riser, McCoy or Bradbury or again move back 7 or so spots.

Trade up for Isabella

Then try to resign Suh by restructuring a couple contracts if he will reduce his ask to 5-8m.

I don't typically post mocks, but I'll play!

Scenario 1:
Jeffery Simmons DL
Nate Davis OL
Derrick Baity CB

Scenario 2:
Jeffery Simmons DL
Polite DL
Nate Davis OL

Not sure how we'll exactly land them but these are the three players we land in each scenario over three rounds

I like Scenario 2. I am no expert but Baity in Round 3 appears to be way too early.
