You have to like how the Rams don't push players. They have a great training staff. It's a bit nerve-racking when we don't know exactly the degree of the injuies. McVay always seems positive until he doesn't. No sense tipping your hand until you have to.

I was just thinking earlier today how the only thing that can derail this season is injuries and wondering how we had such great injury luck last year. There's a lot of analytics and behind the scenes sports science that goes into it and giving these guys who have been in the league long enough to know how to get themselves prepared for game day as many rest days as possible seems to be a large part of it. Could Myles Garrett practice today? I'm sure he could. Is it necessary? I seriously doubt it.

I actually think this team could win games with Simpson at QB as long as the D is relatively healthy. They could probably win games 20-13, 16-10, 20-16 etc... not saying they could win regularly against top playoff teams, but they could probably survive a month without Stafford if it came to that.

With this much talent on defense and the offense around him, I have no doubt in my mind we'd likely still be a playoff team even with Simpson starting the full season. I just hope it doesn't come to that.

When your team is built around professionals it definitely makes it easier.
