NFL coaches and scouts spoke to Lampkin about moving to full back. That is a fact. It’s well reported. But hell, we know better than those professional idiots even though nearly everyone here hasn’t even watched him
He has been training at Full Back and Center all offseason
I was super excited we signed him and remain so. The boy can play and could potentially be an amazing Full Back/ Half Back i.e. a true difference maker on the field (as opposed to a player who warms the bench).
That’s not to say he can’t play Center or Guard, it’s just Full Back / Half Back, and special teams, could be his best route to playing time.
If I had to bet then it’s always best to bet against an UDFA but perhaps he is the exception because if it were not for his height and weight he could have gone 1st round. If you have watched him block then you will know he’s something special.
