An Austin woman was arrested Saturday after police say she used her fingers to dig another woman’s eyeball out of her socket.
Talicia Morrison, 20, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.
Morrison told police that she was fighting with the woman on Saturday when she grabbed her eye and “dug her fingers up in there,” causing the eyeball to come out of the socket, according to the affidavit for her arrest.
She had a couple of broken fingernails as a result of the fight, the affidavit says.
The woman was transported to a hospital, sedated and her eyeball was placed back in the socket, the affidavit says. The extent of the damage to her eyeball was unknown.
Veneza Bremner, a spokeswoman with the Austin Police Department, said the fight happened at about 4 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Northcrest Circle.
Morrison was still in custody Tuesday, jail records show. Her bail is set at $70,000.
