It projects who will make the playoffs based on who you pick to win each of the remaining NFL games. You can set each game winner individually, or populate the winners based on one of these 8 criteria: winning%, offense rank, defense rank, last match-up, current streak, home team, points scored, or points against.
The bad news for Rams fans is that the Rams don't make the playoffs if you pick any of these 8 criteria and stop there.
The GOOD NEWS for Rams fans is that the Rams do make the playoffs for every one of these 8 criteria (except one) if they win all 3 of their remaining games. The only criteria where they don't make the playoffs is "current streak", but that is only because it assumes Seattle will beat San Francisco since Seattle has a longer winning streak than SF. But that is only because the Rams just beat SF a week ago making the SF winning streak equal to only 1.
So the message is clear -- if the Rams win out, they will probably make the playoffs.
