A quick review of some draft sites, all had these guys as the top 'playmaking' Receivers.

It dont look like an outstanding group, from what i read skimming around.

Frankly I dunno about taking any of them with the top pick. I dunno.

If i 'had' to pick one, i'd take Tavon. But he's so small, that pick makes me a bit queasy. Still, the guy will score long TDs.
Tavon is the only one in that group that would 'scare' me if i was a DB.

I dunno.

Justin Hunter is my favorite WR as of now. Tavon Austin is undeniably a playmaker, just not sure he fits.

Hunter is a great player. The knee is the only thing that bothers me.

Btw you left one name off there. Da'Rick Rogers.

Have to agree. Rogers is a first round talent for sure.

I used to like Hunter the most, but Patterson's been more consistent by far. Either way, this is a very deep draft for receivers.

Patterson is probably the most athletic of the group. I still have questions about just how raw he really is.

He's one of those guys that will probably blow the fucking combine out of the water though. Then everyone will be jocking.

Hunter, Patterson, Rogers are my favorites. Of course if Allen if he lasts that long, but with how the draft works, I'm sure people will trade up for him.

Hey guys; a newbie here, but been lovin the Rams since the early 70's. I live in Tennessee, and the Vols (I know they suck now) are my college team.

This Patterson kid is something else. Could be better on his routes, but when the ball is in his hands, great things usually happen. A great kick returner, he can run the end around; he makes people miss. I would love to see a playmaker like this come on our 2nd pick.

Welcome to ROD!

Whatcha think about Hunter? In your opinion will Patterson be better in the NFL?

Hello Rammer. Keep posting, my friend.

We definitely need playmakers.

For once, instead of "worrying" about our draft picks... I feel relaxed. We have real football guys calling the shots now. Whoever they pick, they will have exhausted their efforts to make sure its the right choice. I think that's all you can do to tip the odds in your favor.

Hunter defenitly has talent, but I think he lost confidence this past season. He dropped many catchable balls. I suppose it is attributed to the season ending injury from the year before, not sure, but the way I feel; Patterson is more explosive when he has the ball in his hands.

This WR class reminds me of 2008 where Donnie Avery, Desean Jackson, and Jordy Nelson all came out. There was no clear cut guy. It was just a very good crop with no stud.

Good point.

It does feel that way. Not that there won't be a player... but it's not as clear.

Well said.

I gotta say - out of all those highlight reels I like what I saw from Patterson the most. Looks like a great YAC guy and has size at 6'3".

Not a big Allen fan. And I don't like the idea of picking another small receiver. It really doesn't appear that any of the small guys would bring us anything we don't already have in Givens.

It doesn't happen often....sign and trade w/ Vikes ( '13 3rd rd pick/conditional '14 pick maybe 4th rd) with extension for Percy Harvin.

Brilliant! :bg:

If Shakka Khan was smart, he'd get Percy and Tebow over in Jacksonville and get that show started all over again. They already have the fan base in place from Timmy's glory days.

Noooooooo! I want Harvin in Horns. JAX already fucked up on Laurent and got theirs w/ Blackmon. But hey I can compromise with Ta Tebow back in Gator Nation. :razzed:

Robert Woods is still a very interesting prospect to me. Apparently he was slowed by an ankle all year. Seems like he knows how to get open to me, just can't hang onto the ball at times.

I am really starting to love this kid:

Aaron Dobson, WR Marshall: 6'2'' 200lbs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99lzd57Ib_w

Some guy's scouting report:
Aaron Dobson has quietly had a great career at Marshall, despite not having an NFL-quality arm throwing to him. With an arm that can deliver the ball down the field on a consistent basis, Dobson’s production would have been greatly improved.

He has improved every year in college and I expect his best football to be played in the NFL. If he is able to refine his technique a bit, he will quickly become a fixture on highlight shows.

A tall receiver that can get over the top of cornerbacks is never over-looked on draft day and I’d imagine that despite a probable 4.5 time in the forty yard dash, we’ll hear Dobson’s name called in the first 100 picks of the 2013 NFL Draft.
