We all seem to agree that we should utilize our tight ends more, but the question is in what other areas do we scale back to do this.
Also it has become very clear now that Higbee has become a dependable receiver, and like Everett, can be tough to bring down. The difference between them is that due to Everett’s athletic ability he can make it hard for the defender to get a good hold on him. Where as Higbee is more physical and is willing to run through the defender if need be. Everett is faster and can get more yards after the catch, and Higbee is someone you’d like to have in short yardage situations.
I think both can have an impact in the game, but the trick is to utilize them in such a way so as not to tip off the defense as to what kind of plays we’re running, like we did in the super bowl. I also would love to see both of them being used down in the red zone.
