Bobby Brown had his best game this year. I saw him making plays frequently.
Last year he kinda sucked the first half of the season and got a lot better as the year went on. Maybe it just takes him three months to get back into game shape lol. An improved BB3 and Speights settling in would be a tremendous lift for this defense to finish the season.

Not that PFF is the best measure but has Reeder scored as high as Speights in any game this season?

Verse with his bull rush on Darisaw may have changed the Vikes trajectory for this season.

Verse is such a monster.

I love the bullrush. Take a 330 lb elite athlete, lift him off his base and onto his ass in humiliation.

We have quite a bully that scares offenses.

Looking good for Speights. I will give credit to Rozeboom because he definitely was tackling better yesterday. Still frustrating to watch but definitely better than Hummel. Looks like it should be the Speights/Rozeboom show from here on out.

I’ve been highly critical of Rozeboom this year. So let me give him props for his 80.4 tackling grade. I recognize he is an athletic player.

Add in that we are successfully revamping our secondary.

I think the more players improve and the more they win, the more they want to improve and the more they want to win.
It's infectious. :)

No doubt. And neither BB nor Speights need to be great. Just solid players in the scheme. Just tie up blockers and gum up the middle, fill that run fit downhill and give us some solid tackling in space.

How good the defense can get will come down to the secondary. If they can stay on this recent trend they've been on since Williams came back... Then we're gonna have a solid defense. Slow teams' passing games and you will see an impact in your points allowed. It is passing that leads to high points totals.

He’s athletic. He just seems slow to diagnose and react. Same with Reeder.
