It's funny to watch but it is tough if you're catching passes from a QB who is throwing with zip. Especially if you're not wearing gloves. One of my friends was a college pitcher at a major program and could throw in the low 90s. Catching passes from him without gloves was not fun when he was ripping them. The ball would leave welts on my arm when I didn't catch it cleanly with hands and would jam the hell out of my fingers when it went off my fingertips.

I can tell you that I don't think I'd have enjoyed catching passes from Bradford when he threw heaters.
