That's right. The New England Patriots cut Matt Flynn this morning, leaving the Pats with 1 eligible quarterback to start the regular season. Contrast that with the Rams and Eagles, each with 4 QB's in camp.

Color me paranoid, I can't help but believe this in another dirty Belichick trick.

Fast Forward to week 1. QB Jimmy Garoppolo leaves 3 minutes before halftime with slight limp. "Next man up! Get the punter, what's his name in there... NOW!"

Too bad, Johnny Hekker plays for the good guys! The above scenario doesn't need come to fruition to qualify as a another dirty Belichick trick. Just the idea of a punter playing QB for the Super Bowl Champions* is enough to make key people in Deflate Gate Chess match nervous.

Pats pick up the loser of the camp battle between Davis and Keenum and this place will go nuts....

For those people saying a few lbs. of air pressure in a football doesn't matter, it does for running backs. It makes it easier to hold onto. Consider the fact that the New England Patriots have the fewest fumbles, by far, than any other team in the last 10 years. Does that mean they have been deflating balls that long? No, but it sure is suspicious. Personally, I believe the Patriots have been getting around the rules since the day Bllicheat took over as head coach.

All teams get around the rules but the Patriots artists and take it to the next level. Deflated footballs may have helped some but in NE when receiver or rb fumbles they get benched and it's not for that one game they could be out for weeks or cut. There's zero tolerance for fumbles.

I see the Pats signing one of the Texans qb's if they go with only 2. It's a similar offense so the learning curve would mostly be for the different terminology.

Man, that is one talentless dude who made himself a shitload of money by being Aaron Rodgers's backup.

I am sad to note that Seattle no longer has Matt Flynn's dead money on the books.

It's getting more common to only carry 2 QB's. How long till someone tries going with one?

Thats a great point. Pats play in 3 days like everyone else. Brady and Garrapolo are going to split the snaps?
